Long after the Birth of Christ. A race know as the Unbound lived on Earth. The Heart, the powerful Queen of the Unbound, created Masks with the power of pure Darkness could unlock a warrior's true potential at the cost of their moral restraints. The ancient Latin word for Evil, the word Malum. Was bestowed upon the masks. Humans obtained the masks and rebelled against their masters. The Heart, Desperate for her power to continue, destroyed masks and unleashed a deeper evil. The creatures of the Unbound. For 300 years war broke out. The Unbound renounced The Heart as their Queen and looked to her sister, the Lorekeeper Hera Vitalis. The remaining Unbound were slaughtered and Vitalis sealed away The Heart and the remaing Creatures of the Unbound. Vitalis knew she would have to seal away the masks to prevent the reawakening of the Creatures of the unbound and possibly The Heart. History carried on and The Lorekeeper watched as every so often a mask would be discovered by a powerful warrior. And she knew. Someday...the Darkness would come back.
