Jirou held up a simple, lavender dress in front of the full-length mirror, which sat against the wall in the bedroom of her apartment. It was currently 11:32 AM, the golden sunlight streaming through the glass and opened blinds of her bedroom window. After texting him earlier that morning, she and Kaminari had decided on meeting at a restaurant at 12:00 PM, leaving her with around half an hour left to get dressed and get there.

She didn't understand why it was taking so long to decide what she would wear. Outside of her former job's required uniform, she would mostly wear something random and call it a day, due to her insecurities. I'm just overthinking it, she thought as she hung the dress back up in her closet. It was just something casual, not a... -dare she say the word- date or anything even close to that.

After deciding with a pair of simple black pants and a light red hoodie, Jirou grabbed her bag and her phone, checking the time. 11:41 AM. She had around twenty minutes left to get to the restaurant, so she hoped that there wouldn't be traffic along the way.

Kaminari sat in the backseat of an Uber, looking out the window of the car and watching the world pass by. It all started yesterday when he had asked Jirou to help with her song. I'm such an idiot, he thought, mentally slapping himself in the face. What does she want or need my help with anyways? She's perfectly capable of writing a song on her own, with a talent like hers...I'm just dumb and I'll probably get in her way anyways.

Surprisingly, nothing got awkward, and even more surprisingly, Jirou had agreed to his offer. That was the one thing Kaminari didn't expect to happen, from the moment the question flew out of his mouth before he'd even thought it through. At least things didn't get awkward.

He had spent the past half hour deciding what to wear, finally throwing something random on because this was no special occasion of the sort. Along with that, he also had to decide what the hell he was supposed to say once they met up at the restaurant. She'll just end up thinking I'm stupid, dragging her out to lunch with no real reason why. Why did I even bother asking her to help?

A frustrated sigh escaped his lips, causing the Uber driver to peer at him through the rear view mirror of the vehicle. "You ok dude?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Kaminari replied, the words automatically coming out of his mouth. They were straight up an obvious lie.

"Listen, I may not know you at all," The driver stated as he made a turn before looking through the rear view mirror again, "But I know well enough that something's up. If you don't feel like telling me though, that's fine."

"Eh, I'm just a little worried," Kaminari admitted, shrugging. "I'm meeting up with someone and I don't know how it's gonna go."

"Is it a date?" The driver asked nonchalantly.

"What? Oh, no no, it's nothing like that," He said quickly. Nothing even close to a date. "She's just a friend."

"I see," The driver answered with a light nod, focusing his attention on the road.

The rest of the ride was quiet, with the driver just doing his job and Kaminari staring out of the window once more, the action he'd been doing for the majority of the ride. The only sounds were that of the car's wheels against the almost-perfectly paved roads and the occasional honking of a horn, along with the usual bustle of the city.

Kaminari's thoughts inadvertently wandered back to Jirou. In the short time since she had joined the band, he noticed a few things about her. She acted all shy and awkward at first, but once you got to know her she had a calm, pretty chill personality. After a few days of time, she picked up the habit the rest of the band members had, which was teasing him. Not that he minded. And the way she habitually poked her two pointer fingers together often -probably more often than she realized- in a way that was adorable to him. Not...in that way, of course.
