The street was dark, weakly lit by a single lamp post. The surrounding houses stood silently as a young woman walked down the road, a baby in hand. Tears streaming down her cheeks, as she walked slowly, looking at the small child as if trying to savour every last moment. The baby stared blankly up at its mother with wide eyes, blissfully unaware of the world that went on around it.
Turning a corner the woman had arrived at her destination. She took out her wand and prayed that her plan would work.
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, with a sudden jerk she opened her them and found herself looking at a magnificent castle. She knew this castle well and had fond memories of her days there. But she had not come for a happy reunion, instead she entered the castle remembering the exact path that would lead her to the headmasters office.
She looked down once more, at her baby who had now fallen asleep and was snoring quietly. Giving it one last kiss on the head, she laid it down just outside the door of the office. Placing a letter on top of the baby's blanket, she turned and did not look back. Once outside of the castle and safely back in the street full of houses, she once again took out her wand, placing to her temple.
"Oblivate".
