Chapter 21

When the bell went I stood up and walked passed the girls to my first lesson, which was history. None of the girls were in my class which was a relief. I didn't pay attention to what any of my teachers were saying for the whole day, thinking about how I was going to react when I got home. I'd accepted the fact that Reece and Rebecca had shagged and was furious at Reece for it. And for the fact he'd told her about my self harming, he knows that's personal and I can't believe he said it.

I met Charlie outside of the front of the school to walk home.

"You okay? How was today?" He asked me as we began to walk, giving me a hug.

"He shagged her Charlie, he fucking shagged her that night" I said, starting to cry. "He took her round the back of the club and started telling her stuff about me and then they shagged." Charlie put his arm around me.

"Alice I doubt that happened. When you ran out and James hit Reece I took Reece to the toilets so that he wouldn't get in an argument with James. Then I went to go and find Jake to see what else had happened and was only gone for 5 minutes and he was still in the toilets when I got back. Honestly I don't think anything happened and I don't want you getting worked up about it. You know the girls are only trying to wind you up but you can't let them" Charlie said.

"A lot can happen in 5 minutes Charlie, she probably fucking planned it. I know that they're only trying to wind me up but how else would she know about all the stuff she does know if they didn't do it. There's no way round it and I'm done with him now" I said as we turned into our road.

"Please just talk to him. Don't get mad at him, he feels guilty enough as it is" Charlie replied. I don't know why he was sticking up for Reece when something clearly happened. We had reached our house and I walked through the doors and towards the stairs.

"Hey babe how was today?" Reece said coming out of the living room. He looked nervous.

"Fuck off" I said angrily. "I bet your new fuck buddy Rebecca has already told you about it."

"What do you mean my fuck buddy? You know we never-" Reece began trying to defend himself before seeing the look on my face and stopping.

"Yes you did, don't even lie to me Reece. You shagged her that night. You were happily fucking another girl while I was desperately trying to kill myself, what a good boyfriend you are. You even told her about this, who the fuck do you think you are telling anyone about it!" I shouted, pulling up my sleeve to reveal cuts and scars. The other boys had all come out of the living room to see what was happening. Reece was staring at the floor. "You can't even look me in the eye or apologise for it. You disgust me Reece Bibby, you're a vile human being and we're over." I stormed upstairs, tears streaming down my face. I could hear footsteps coming up the stairs and towards mine and Reece's room.

"Alice its me, are you okay?" It was James. He opened the door and stepped inside. "Am I okay to come in?" He asked and I nodded. He sat down on the bed next to me and put his arm around me.

"I'm sorry about Reece, I really am. I didn't think he would do that and still kind of doubt if it's true but I don't want to see you upset" he said, wiping tears from my cheeks.

"I can't believe he would do that James. I thought he loved me, I thought he cared about me" I replied, breaking down into tears again.

"He does love you, I promise he does. He just made a mistake okay. The other boys are talking to him downstairs to try and find out what actually happened so please don't worry about it. Why don't we put a film on to take your mind off things? You choose" James said, standing up and walking over to where my DVD's were.

"Okay urm... what about Dawn of the Planet of the Apes since I know how much you love that film" I said, smiling and lying back on my bed. James put the DVD into the tv and came and lay beside me putting his arm around me and resting his head on my shoulder. I turned to him and smiled. He turned to face me and planted his lips on mine. It was only a light kiss but it felt kinda nice. I put my hands on his cheeks and leant in once again so our lips touched.
