Hide and seek

Hi guys, so this is a story I am writing right now and it is kind of like a second book to blood cross and the Decision but I decided to delete that story and post this one anyways, don't worry I will sum it all up for you sometime.. Vote comment and fan please!!

Chapter 1

" Dan," I breathed. 

"Why hello, princess, how you doing?" He said setting us back down. 

"Great! Thank you so much Dan," I hugged him,smiling. 

"We'll hello Luke, Grace," he nodded to my mother.  

I pulled away, stepping back next to Luke and holding his warm hand. Those tingles that I felt whenever I touched him never ceased to exist. 

" Thank you for saving our lives," my mum nodded, still slightly out of breath. 

Luke was looking upwards at our carriage that was slowly dissapearing behind the mountains that towered over a Ferris wheel.  

" yes thanks," he gritted his teeth, barely able to say the words to his opposite. 

Dan chuckled, amused at the pained look on Luke's handsome face. I sent him a reassuring smile.  

" what was that?" I motioned above us, where other carriages on the skyline were still moving peacefully. " the other carriages seem to be fine."  

" I don't know, but we'll find out soon." Luke nodded and squeezed my hand.  

"What are we going to do now?" My mother asked, a weird look on her face. I guessed that she was probably still shocked that someone had tried to push us out of the carriage and meet our sure deaths on the concrete. Also, there was the fact that my mum had seen the wings that had carried us to safety. She was still getting used to the concept that vampires, angels, werewolf and other supernatural creatures were real.  

" we should go back," and without another word Dan spun around on his heel and walked away. We all mumble a word of agreement and left, not caring a thing about the people who stared at us. They had every right to be shocked, to them it probably looked as if we were gods that fell down from the sky or something and also in a very graceful manner. It was good that dan's wings couldn't be seen by humans that didn't know anything about us. On the drive home, thoughts were swirling around in my head, but the two most suspicious words were BLACK CROSS. Sighing, I leaned my head on Luke's shoulder, who stroked my hair, a soothing habit for him. I closed my eyes, letting myself drift off to the rhythmic beat of Luke's heart. 

I woke up to the movement of Luke carrying me down the hallway of my house and into my bedroom. 

"Luke? What are you doing?"  

"Getting you into bed," he said casually. 

"But we have to find out who-" I was silenced by his finger on my lips. 

"It's ok, just get some sleep for now, I know you're tired." He gently set me down onto e bed, lying down next to me and embracing me in his strong arms. I snuggled against him, melding my body to his, feeling every muscle and contour of him.  

"Luke, don't you just want to run away from all this and forget about it?" I whispered into his shirt. 

"Yes, yes I do, but you know we can't." He said kissing me gently, his soft lips moving against my own, his sweet taste making me shiver. He pulled the covers over us and stroked my back. I soon fell fast asleep. Luke's presence chasing away all of my bad dreams...except for one.
