"listen here kid, we're not happy either." argent snapped, staring at the girl as if he'd prefer her dead.

"i realise that mister, but i'm not even eighteen, therefore i have my whole life in front of me, unlike you crusty crustaceans." she snapped back, playing with her hands anxiously.

"watch your tone." argent scolded, almost as if he thought she cared.

she laughed slightly, smiling at the thought of actual parental supervision. of course the girl had true care for her adoptive parents, but not even a shred of it for her dead ones - saying her father was dead that is.

"sorry dad." she responded sarcastically, looking around the area she was being kept.

the storm outside was growing, and she was slowly starting to lose any hope that at least someone would come save her. s

he still had so much to do in life, so much she wanted to do.

hell, she hadn't even graduated high school yet, something so many other kids got to experience.

"listen, i'm the only one here who can move, if i leave now, I can still stand a chance of flagging down a car to help us." she spoke up after thinking for a moment.

"no need." someone spoke from above the group, causing (y/n) to inch herself backwards as a slim but tall figure jumped down through a crack.

"issac." one of the parents gasped, but (y/n) was fixated on the beam cracking above ms. mccall and mr. stilinski.

"help me untie them." the boy, issac, ordered to (y/n), causing her to shift her gaze down for her to notice issac untying argent, so the girl quickly followed his movements. within moments the two parents were untied, yet it seems they were just too late. s

uddenly, the support beam above (y/n) broke, causing issac to dive her way to hold it up, just before it landed on her and ms. mccall.

"check the stairs again." argent ordered, hoping that they would be stable enough for the group to make their way out.

(y/n) nodded, walking over to the staircase to notice it completely blocked.

minutes passed, (y/n) frantically pacing in the underground cellar, looking between issac and the group of parents.

"i can't hold it much longer." issac gasped, his breathing heavy as the beam started to dip down lower to the ground, but soon everyone else was helping him there, yet it didn't seem to help much.

yet, the group was saved once again by a different teen boy, who made his way into the cellar through a hole, and placed down a metal bat under the beam.

"i always said aluminum was better than wood." sherrif stilinski laughed, pulling stiles into a tight hug.

"(y/n)?" he asked, almost sounding worried as he noticed the quiet girl standing alone in a corner.

"hey man, so crazy seeing you here too! human sacrifice as well?" she joked, waving lightly as a small smile appeared on a face.

"why does she need a fourth sacrifice?" issac asked, thinking out loud.

"beats me, harper's probably just mentally unstable and found this funny in someway." (y/n) replied calmly, brushing her hair out of her face, her eyes glistening like diamonds in the odd lighting.

"harper?" ms. mccall spoke up, obviously not the only one confused.

"my not-so missing but missing little sister. harper baccari, or as she goes by now, harper (y/l/n)."  the girl responded again, seeming to know the most about what was going on out of everyone.

sure, knowing things sometimes could be hard, but it isn't that hard to figure out certain things. certain things like who was holding a person captive.

"fun." issac grunted, sighing slightly.

"i find this whole family reunion you're having going on insane." stiles muttered from behind his father, causing (y/n) to move her gaze to him.

"yeah, a family reunion." she responded quickly, sitting down quickly before finally dozing off to sleep.
