It was a year ago today..
My Closest friend Ever George Shelley left to go on the Xfactor, so much has changed since then..He has basically forgot about me. I was helping him through tough times and then as soon as fame hits him...I'm nothing. I'm Casey..I'm 18 and I work In the same Coffee shop like George use too.. Since then..My parents have split up, Married again,I fell in love, I was heartbroken..Used and now.. I'm just staying away from Love..
I was at work and then the bell rang on the door, I was too tired to be here right now..I didn't sleep last night due to a breakdown. I didn't make eye contact with the customers at all today.
"Hello..Welcome to Costa, how can I help you?" I asked
"Hello..Can I have a large Cappuccino with extra frothy milk and Chocolate please" They asked
That's something George use to order...
"Sure.." I said turning away to go get their coffee.
"Not to be rude but I don't think you should be working" they said
"What makes you say that?" I asked grinding the coffee beans
"You just don't look like your awake..Did you sleep last night?" They asked
"No..I didn't.." I said adding the frothy milk and chocolate on, I put extra on it for them and made eye contact with him whilst putting the coffee infront of him. I looked at him weirdly.. "George Shelley?" I asked
"Another fan.." He smiled
"I'm not a fan.." I sighed
"You don't like me?" He asked
"George..Don't you remember me?"
"What's your name?" He asked
"Casey.." I said
"Wow..You've changed so much! Into a beautiful women"
"I can say the same about you.."
"You never contacted me.." He said
"Yes I did, on everything. Text,Twitter,Facebook,Instagram,Snapchat, Kik...Everything.."
"I got a new phone"
"Thanks for telling me that" I sighed
"I'm sorry.." George said
"How come your back here?" I asked
"Felt like I was missing something" he said sipping his coffee
I turned around and George said "Is It too late to ask for your number?"
"Guess not.." I said giving him my number
"You should meet the other boys, there in the van out the front.." George said
"I don't think I should right now, maybe next time.." I said
"Sure, Anyways, I will text you and stay in contact" George said hugging me giving me £5 for his coffee..
I was over tired, I held onto the side helping myself up and then dragged a jar onto the floor smashing, I fell behind the counter and held my head.
George ran back "you alright!"
"I'm fine, just go.."
George put his coffee on the side and looked around noticing nobody was in the coffee shop. He ran to the door and closed it.
"You can't do that" I said
"Yes I can.." He said picking me up
"George..Please, just leave me"
"You've got really light"
"No I haven't" I said
He opened the door to go to the van
"No, If they are in there I'm not getting in" I said
"What have you got against them?" George asked
oh, nothing..Besides You must love them so much you forgot about me..
"Nothing" I said
"Then it's settled, Your coming with me" he said
"Seriously George..Put me down" I said
"Not until you agree to get in the van with me.."
"Why do you care so much, I just slipped" I said
"I'm not stupid, I've seen you ill before...I was with you in hospital remember?" He said
"I also remember when you actually cared,When you were normal.." I mumbled
"Pardon?" He said
"Just let me go" I said
George opened the Van door and got in with me on his lap, I was so embarrased
"George picked someone up" Josh laughed
"To my house please.." George told the driver
"Who's this then?" One of them asked
"Casey, My Friend" George said
I smiled but looked at my hands to avoid eye contact.
We arrived at Georges and He got out the van and held my hand out, The boys got out too and there were paparazzi taking pictures then I realised...I was holding Georges hand! Oh no! We all went inside and I seen on his coffee table, letters from fans then I realised a letter, it looked so familiar. The boys went to the kitchen and I sat down and picked the letter up. I realised then, it was mine telling George so much! I took the letter and put it in my Serving apron. The Boys came out and sat with me, George and Jaymi were In the kitchen still but Josh and JJ sat near me, I felt so uncomfortable right now.
"So..How did you see George again"
"Look at what you've done" I said
"Huh? Josh asked
"I will show you how it feels like to one minute be Georges best friend then nothing.." I said grabbing my apron and going to the door
"Hey,Hey,Hey.. Hold up" JJ said
"Tell George, don't bother" I said opening the door and shutting it behind me. I had tears roll down my face and a went down all of the steps outside Georges house. I sat down because I could just feel myself going to puke on my own words.. George opened his front door and ran down the steps, I got up and went down the road
"Where are you going!" George yelled
"Work.." I yelled back
"You can't work! Your not well!"
"You only just began caring...Just go back to your friends" I said stopping and turning around
"Why are you being like this?" George asked
"You mean since I have Lost my mother,Anxiety,Depression,Self harmed, Anorexia..Oh I don't know George" I sighed having tears roll down my face
"What do you mean? Your mother..All of them illnesses" George asked in shock
"Since fame hit you George, you have forgotten about me! You haven't bothered with me! When you were on XFactor I got Depression and Began to cut because I lost you! That brang on Anxiety and Then my mother died last year, That brang on Anorexia...There, now just leave me alone..Fame has smacked you right across the face George" I said crossing the road not looking.
"Move!" George yelled
I turned around and looked at George
"CAR!" He yelled
I looked at the car coming towards me and jumped onto the curb. I missed the curb. I fell on my face and the curb hit my stomach. George ran over and said
"This is it! I've missed too much! I'm so freaking sorry for it all..I never planned for any of this. Please..I, come to mine..I need to explain.." George said with water filled in his eyes.
I got up and George had his hand around my waist supporting me.
I stopped to have a short break.
"I don't want to talk about it..." I said
"We have to.." George said calmly
"George..Why has so much drama happened in less than an hour" I said
"I don't know...You dropped this as well.." George said handing me a pink envelope which was the one I wrote for George,
"Oh Wait..It might be mine, got my name on it" George said
"No, it's mine.."
"It has George Shelley on it"
"I wrote it! George! Give it to me"
George held in in his hand and lifted his hand up
"That's not even funny George, you know I'm short"
George began opening it when Jaymi went behind him and jumped on his back to grab it.
"Jay! Your the shortest, what's the point!" George laughed
"Just give It to her" Jaymi said trying to snatch the letter
Josh came out and grabbed it and Jaymi jumped off his back
"Here.." Josh said
"Thanks.." I said putting it back into my apron
"Anyways...Shall we go back for some tea?" Jaymi asked
"Beer.." Josh said
"It's only 4:46" JJ said
"And?.." I said
"Ohh..." Josh said being sassy leaning to his right
I rolled my eyes and said
"Well..I better get going" I said
"Why?" Jaymi asked
"Got to go do some stuff...It's a must do" I said
"Lier" George smiled
"No, Seriously..I will only be at my house.." I said
"Fine..Ring me then" George said hugging me
"I will..Maybe" I laughed
"Bye Babe" JJ said
"Bye Hun" Jaymi said
"See ya Sweetie" Josh said
"Bye Guys" I said
George only lives a few doors down from me so I went to my house and I sat down and just thought...I just told George everything!
