Wedding
Everything went well. Now, I don't need to demand for the time I want because he's now giving it without me asking. Isa pa, lahat ng meetings for our upcoming wedding involves us too. So it matters that we are together.
But unlike those days, now.. we can't see each other. He stayed in his old house here in Palawan. While, we stayed on ours.
How ironic that my most awaited day will be tommorow, talagang naunahan pa sila Kuya at sila Faye.
I don't know if I can sleep tonight. Mommy told me I need to sleep early because I can't be a zombie-looking tommorow on my special day but I just can't sleep and it's already 9 pm.
Bumaba ako ng kama ko. I wore my sleepers and brushed my hair then I went outside my room.
I jumped a bit when I heard the room next to mine opened. It was Mom and Dad's room. Well, it was just actually my Mom's room.. but since Dad had been sleeping there for the past days then I labeled it theirs.
She smiled weekly at me, she's holding her wine.
"Can't sleep?" she smirked.
Tumango ako at mas lalo pa syang pinagmasdan. She looks a bit bothered.
"Let's go downstairs. Sa labas," aniya 'tsaka nauna nang maglakad.
Tahimik akong sumunod sa kanya. She looks respectful and nothing but high even with just her robe.
Muli akong napangiti. We are totally different. With my white terno sleepwear, I look nothing but simple. But my mom, she was screaming of elegance and beauty. From the way I speak to the way she do. On how I treat people and how she's doing it. But no matter what, I'm so proud that I am the daughter of an Ayana Vista. She's nothing but powerful.
Then, she faced the unending darkness. Marahan at walang kasing pino ang bawat kilos nya. Really really reserved.
I walked slowly towards her at nang makalapit ay niyakap ko sya mula sa likuran.
"Time flies so fast.." nakangiting aniya. "You used to be my baby,"
"I am still your baby," paglilinaw ko, natatawa.
The silence hugged as too and I embraced it. Ninanamnam ang sandaling ito.
"Your unties from LA will be here, you need to be beautiful tommorow."
Tipid akong ngumiti at tumango. I heard her sighed. Bumuntong hininga din ako. Alam kong may problema sya mula pa nung makita ko syang lumabas ng kwarto nya. She looks bothered or something.
"Love is changing, Mommy.." I started as I hugged her tight. Hindi man lang sya gumalaw. "It is something that will teach you a lot."
"What does love told you?"
I stood up straight then went beside her after.
