Chap 5- My abusive husband

I was reading a book I saw the time it was 7 I went and sat near the window . After sometime I heard cars honk so my husband is back.

I went and bought water jar in the kitchen and sat in front of the door kneeling down and bowing my head down. The door knob twisted and my husband came in full glory.

He kept his leg on my thai and I opened his shoes and socks. He went and sat on the sofa while I bought him water. I looked down waiting for his order.

In relation we were husband wife but he treated me worse than a human and the reason I had to accept all these was because my father had taken a loan from this heartless businessman which he could not repay hence I was married to him but just for a year he ll divorce me after a year. I felt exploited but there was no option.

"I have cancelled our divorce for 1 more year" he said

"Why" I asked

"Your dad is in hospital won't you be a burden on him and your brother who is trying to make end meets for his payment" he said

"Can you pls help us" I asked

He got up from his seat and said in a husky tone "what will I get in return"

"Whatever you want" I said

I knew what was happening next. In a minute my clothes were spread on the ground.

After hours of torture he threw me on the ground as if I was a rag and slept peacefully.

One week passed away and today was karva chauth. Yesterday we came to Delhi the place I hate the most. Virat s family hate me and torture me as well.

It was 5 so I went and freshen up quickly. I went down and started preparing the breakfast. It was 6 so I took cold coffee and went to Bhavna di s room. I knocked the door and she was dancing in the room and asked very rudely to come in.

"Di your cold coffee" I said looking down

"Keep it and take my clothes and wash them" she said

"Ji didi" I said and kept her coffee and took her clothes next I went to Chetna bhabhi s room to give her green tea.

"Bhabhi your green tea" I said

"Hmmm keep it accha listen tomorrow is arav s exam so you better teach him in the evening and yes press my saree as well" bhabhi said

"Ji bhabhi" I said and left

Last destination and the most feared one Maaji s room.

I sighed and took her milk to the room. I knocked the door and a dominant voice said "come in"

I looked down and said "milk"

"Keep it" she said

I kept the milk and waited for my next order.

"My legs are paining massage them" she said

I nodded and started massaging her legs. While doing so she said

"Today is karva chauth and our family members would be coming so prepare food for around 40 people and decorate the house nicely also today is holiday so all the men are in the house there must be no delay in lunch or snacks. If anything went wrong you have no idea what I ll do with you" she said

I scaredly nodded

"Good now leave" she said

I immediately went down and started working. It was almost night all my task were over so I went and sat on my bed for some rest. I had not eaten anything today till now and was very tired.

"Is this the way a husband should be welcomed home after work" Virat said

I immediately stood up and looked down "sorry sir I didn't saw the time"

"What do you see nowadays have you seen yourself in mirror you have gained so much you should fast twice in a week" he said

I just controlled my tears

"Down in 30 mins be ready and wear something nice don't come down looking like a beggar" he said and left

I just sank down and cried my heart out.
