The Monsters are Real

This story begins long ago; it is not a tale for the faint of heart. The monsters are real; they do not dwell in the shadows or in the dark parts of our minds. They walk among us waiting until the time is right to try again. You may be asking “Try what?” To tell you this, I must go back, all the way back to when humanity just began and we were not at the top but, instead, at the bottom.

The monsters we tell our children to scare them into behaving once walked on this earth and they hunted humans down as food, slaves, and entertainment. Vampires and werewolves ruled over this time and the others obeyed them. The human race was suffering and began to fight back. But it was not tolerated and if a human was found in any way being resistant they were put to death. Now not all were the same. There were some that were kind and did not want this for the humans. But what could they do, any kind of resistance was punished with death? The answer is simple they must create a human that is not a human, a vampire, a werewolf, or another supernatural being. But instead be born of the earth. They must be natural unlike their foes.

This is where our story changes, with the birth of a young girl who changes everything. Mother Nature has given birth to six children all with their own unique gifts. They are not like normal humans they all have heightened senses, they can make things appear out of thin air, they can run faster, and they are flexible; but they have a gift that is their own.  But when this young girl arrives she throws everything out of order and will be the undoing of the ones who call themselves the master of the human race.

Mother Nature will choose the mothers that have pure hearts. They will know when they give birth just how special their child really is and will protect that child with their own life. Unfortunately, when the rulers discovered what was planned they did everything in their power to hunt these children down and kill them before they had a chance to destroy the world they had managed to create. Even at the expense of killing their own kind.
