Chapter 2:
Toby's P.O.V:
"Toby, the worst thing just happened." Spencer came crying into our bedroom.
"Spencer, what is it? What happened?" I pulled her into my arms. Hugging her into me, trying to calm her down.
"Wren, he... un he escaped today. They have no idea where he is." Spencer sobbed into my shoulders.
"Spencer, it's okay. He might just run and not even come here." We have no idea why he esxaped. He could do it to leave his life behind. To take Spencer back. To take Peyton his biological daughter. There's many other posibilities.
"He has reason to come and hurt you. To hurt me. To hurt Peyton. To hurt Abbigail or Talia. He could hurt our family and I don't want that. He's hurt us enough and I don't want us to be hurt anymore by him. Toby, I don't know what I would do if he hurt you or one of the girls. I love you and the girls." I held Spencer in my arms.
I haven't been this tensed up about a person in years. After Wren was caught there was no more A. No one to have us fear of. We have had no troubles with anyone and our past was behond us. We have raised teh girls so far in nothing like the world we had in high school.
"Spencer, I will protect you and the girls. I would hate myself if I let him or anyone else hurt you. This family means a lot me. You mean a lot to me." I kissed her lips and kissed away her tears.
"I don't know what I would do without you. You are my safe place to land."
"I love you Spencer. I love you so much."
"I love you too, Toby." Spencer snuggled more into my side.
