Forty-Fourth Chapter

I woke up in my hospital room from what felt like moments later. It was actually about eight in the morning. Ondreaz was asleep sitting on a chair sleeping with his head laying on my bed. He was holding my hand. I looked over at him smiling. I started sitting up despite the pain and adjusted my bed so that I was sitting down. I ran my hand through his hair and he moved his head over to another side. 
Luna: Hi sleepy head aren’t you supposed to wait until I wake up?
Ondreaz: Hm. He lifted up his head confused and then looked really excited.
Ondreaz: Hi, you’re awake how do you feel?
Luna: In pain but I will survive. You okay, seem tired? 
Ondreaz: No no no babe I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.
Luna: I’m always going to worry about you. He smiled at me and I moved over patting the seat next to me. He sat down and I leaned over and kissed him. I had my hand at the back of his neck pulling him into the kiss more. I stopped and leaned my forehead against his.
Luna: Thank you for being here.
Ondreaz: My heart is here I can’t leave. I smiled leaning my head on his shoulder. He put his arm around me and I was playing with his other hand. I ran my fingers in small circles and laughed.
Ondreaz: What? 
Luna: Expeliames! He laughed too. I drifted off in thought.
Luna: Last night must have been really bad for you. I can’t get the look you gave me last night outta my head. You looked so scared. 
Ondreaz: Everyone was scared including you as brave as you tried to be. Babe you’re okay. You need to focus on getting better. I shook my head. 
Luna: Can we call Sol before he goes to sleep?
Ondreaz: Yeah, here is your phone. He pulled it out of his pocket and I faced time Sol. 

Xanai picked up the phone.
Luna: Xanai? Hey! 
Xanai: Luna?! How are you?! Is the surgery done? Are you safe? Where is Ondreaz? Why are you sitting up? Wh-
Luna: Xani! Relax, breathe in and out. She did it.
Luna: I’m in some pain which is expected after the surgery. We’re in a separate area, Ondre is right here and I’m sitting up because I’m Luna.
Xanai: Okay! I was so worried. American doctors don’t have the best track record with people like us.
Luna: I know but everything went fine as far as I know. 
Ondreaz: Yeah I was there everything went well. 
Luna: Where is Sol and Estrella?
Xanai: Estrella is asleep in Sol’s arms while they try to figure out what to do about this pandemic. You know having a child in the room normally keeps them quiet. They’re in there talking about the effects of the pandemic. How will people eat, curfews, a lot has changed. 
Luna: Must be stressful what about the PWW plan.
Xanai: Outdated. The new generation would never respond to it. We’ve been trying to come up with a new plan. 
Luna: Do you guys need any help?
Xanai: No you just focus on recovery. I’m going back in. I shook my head and hung up the phone. I breathe in. Ondreaz kissed my forehead and I continued playing with his hand like before.
Luna: My country is in great distress I think. 
Ondreaz: Sol can handle it.
Luna: He needs to. They don’t need any help though. Trust me when it came to leading the country he’s always been better than me at leading.
Ondreaz: Let’s watch something on the laptop. We started watching this Trevor Noah comedy special. I was lying on his chest laughing even though it hurt just to laugh.
Luna: Ow stop it hurts to laugh. The doctor came in. 
Doctor Promise: Nice to see you guys laughing. How is that cut doing? I paused the show.
Luna: Pain level 4. 
Doctor Promise: Okay is to be expected. She explained some things. I’m going to be here until I can poop and then eat. Then it’s no jumping, stairs and all that jazz. Nothing major. Walks help speed up the poop process. 

After she left I wanted to go for a walk. The quicker I leave the better. Ondreaz and I put on our masks. He holds my hand and we walk down the hall and back. We made a few tik toks in my room. Nurses came to check up on me. We ended up sharing stories about how we grew up. Then they left to check up on other patients. I was bored. 
Luna: I want to do something fun! 
Ondreaz: Sick people don’t have fun. Ondreaz joked as he pecked my forehead.
Luna: I’m not sick, I'm recovering. I started pouting.
Ondreaz: What do you want to do? 
Luna: Not lay down here! I’m going to talk to fans, you're boring. I leaned over and started scrolling on my phone. I asked fans to ask me questions on my instagram story then started answering videos. 
Luna: Why am I in the hospital? Because Ondreaz was very mean to me which broke my heart. I had a heart attack and ended up here. Ondreaz was laughing behind me.
Luna: What’s the best part about dating Ondreaz? Constantly being annoyed when trying to work.
Luna: Can you marry me? Yes as soon as I get rid of this guy. 
Ondreaz: I do nothing but love you and take care of you.
Luna: That’s what’s on the internet but what about when the camera goes off. 
Ondreaz: Turn the camera off and let’s see what happens. He kissed my neck.
Luna: You only want me for one thing even worse. I stopped recording and he laughed. I kept doing videos. Ondreaz fell asleep on my chest, careful not to cause any distress to my surgical cut.
Luna whispers: Okay this is the last one for the minute. Ondreaz is sleeping so that’s why I’m whispering. Why am I so mean to Ondreaz? I’m really not guys. We joke around a lot but I love this man so much. I’m going to be telling you guys all about this hospital thing in a video. I truly love and appreciate him because I don’t know a lot of guys who would go through what we’ve gone through. So yeah guys this turned into an appreciation post but I don’t care. He turned his head. 
Luna: Aww he’s so tired he deserves the sleep. I kiss his forehead lightly and stop recording. I got a facetime call.

Victoria: I LEAVE YOU ALONE FOR TWO HOURS!
Luna: Shhhh. I showed her Ondreaz. She started speaking quietly.
Victoria: Only because he updated me last night. How are you feeling?
Luna: Better already, talked to the doctor and everything.
Victoria: I was so worried. 
Luna: Aww. Hopefully I didn’t ruin your date. 
Victoria: You made it better actually. She giggled, Victoria doesn’t giggle.
Luna: Tell me! No wait! I moved slowly off of the bed and got in my wheelchair. I got my airpods and rolled out of the room.
Luna: TELL ME! 
Victoria: Well I got a call from Sol telling me about everything and we were still at my house. I was a little b*tch and started crying. He consoled me and was so sweet. He told me that he would be back in like thirty minutes. He told me to take off everything and just get comfortable. He came back in sweats with some snacks and basically said we would watch my favorite show, wait for updates for as long as he needed me.
Luna: Aww did you give him some?!
Victoria: No but he did sleep here. He left breakfast because he had to go to work early. 
Luna: Awww that’s so cute! Ondre is in there sleeping now he’s been so sweet all day.
Victoria: He did not look well last night. We were on facetime and he was just crying every time I saw him. Even after the surgery was done he was crying tears of joy.
Luna: I know! I just got so lucky to have a guy who not just loves but honestly cares about me. And I can tell this guy cares a lot about you too.
Victoria: I hope that one day Liam looks at me the way Ondreaz looks at you.
Luna: Well I’m sure after last night he has proved he’s worth a fifth date.
Victoria: Yesterday was so much fun though. 
Luna: It really was. Did you try on anything yet?
Victoria: Yes! All my appointments got cancelled obviously so I did like this try on haul. We continued talking until a nurse told me I had to go back inside.
