"So Eliza. What are you studying at the university?"

"Cinema and Media Studies with a minor in acting." He seems oddly interested.

"What about you Chris? What are you doing these days?" He looked like he didn't want to tell me at first, and then he had a smile of realization.

"I'm acting right now."

"Oh yeah? What have you been doing with that." As if fate decided, the doorbell went off.

"Hold that thought." With that, he got up and answered the door. A bunch of people started shuffling into the living room. Some of them looked familiar. I still couldn't figure it out though. Who are they? There's something about them that I couldn't put my finger on. Chris introduced them all to me. Half of their names sounded familiar, but I still couldn't figure it out. It was driving me crazy. I was about to ask Chris when his mom came in announcing that lunch was ready. I follow everyone to where we are eating. I walk into their dinning room, and notice what's on the table. There's meatloaf, funeral potatoes, a pretty, green salad, water and some other kind of drink, and a couple of pies. I feel like I'm in heaven. I look around and see that almost everyone is sitting down, already to eat. I then see Chris standing behind a chair. He gestures for me to come over and sit in it. I do, and can't help but feel butterflies in my stomach when he pushes my chair in for me. I smile at him as he sits down next to me. After everyone is seated, I see that everyone is looking at Chris's mom. It confuses me. I then realize that they're waiting for the signal that says we can all start feeding ourselves. She finally nods, sitting at the head of the table.

I couldn't get to the food fast enough, and wouldn't get into my mouth fast enough. The food was amazing. When there was a moment of pause for putting food in my mouth, I finally said, "Thank you Mrs. Evans for this wonderful meal. It's just like my moms cooking. Wonderful in every way."

"Thank you dear. If you keep it up, I might have you come and eat here more often," she smiles.

"I would not mind that one bit," I say, putting a spoon full of potatoes in my mouth. Everyone laughs, and then they're off to their own little conversations. This guy named Tom was sitting next to me. He's pretty charming. I couln't quite figure him out. He was hilarious and had an accent, but I could tell that he was too old for me. My real question though was how Chris met all these hilarious, awesome people.

After everyone was done eating lunch they went into the living room. I decided to clean up the dishes. It was the least I could do. I could tell that Mrs. Evans put a lot of work into the food. Lots of love as well. After I got all the dishes to the sink and the sink filled, I looked for a dish towel. I couldn't find one, so I decided to ask Chris. As I walked towards the living room I bumped into some. I looked up to see who it was and it was Chris. I could feel my face heating up.

"What are you doing?"

"Just helping your mom clean up."

"My mom's not even here. Why don't you leave that there, we'll go in and watch a movie, and then I'll help you with the dishes afterward." I couldn't help but give in. He gave me this smile that I haven't seen before, puts his hand on my back, sending a shiver all through my body, and leads me to the living room. There's a grandfather chair open and an empty space on the floor. I take a pillow and lay on my stomach on the floor.

"Okay guys," Chris said, getting our attention. "Josh just gave me the final cut that they will be showing. He wants us to see it. Are you ready!" Everyone starts cheering. I can't help but be more confused than ever. What is he talking about? Who's Josh? It's then that the movie starts. Everything becomes a realization. These familiar people are actors of Marvel. I feel like I found out, again, that Santa Clause isn't real. I can feel tears rising to the surface. I also felt excited. These people are my idols. I can't believe i didn't realize that it was them in the first place. I guess that's what hurt me the most. I didn't know.

The movie was wonderful, intense, and emotional, just like a Marvel movie is supposed to be. I love it. It went by too fast though, ending way before I wanted it to. Everyone clapped when it ended, and then the talking begin. I look over, forgetting that Chris is laying right next to me. "What do you think?" he asks.

"I can't believe I didn't realize who you guys are before. I feel a little embarrassed." Chris starts laughing, making me wonder about myself.

"I'm okay that you didn't know. It lets me know that you started hanging around me for me and not who everyone knows me as.

"It was actually your dog that made me want to hang out with you at first."

"Oh really?" We both start laughing, and I start feeling comfortable again. I hope I'l be able to come her a lot more during the semester, but I heard that Chris actually lives in New York, but he's going to be here for about a month longer, or something like that. Talking a break for the everyday life I guess.

After a while I decided that it was probably time to go back to my apartment. I say goodbye to everyone, and start heading back to my apartment, Chris right by my side. It's starting to get dark, and as I walk out of the house I realize something. "I never finished the dishes," I say, turning back towards the house.

"Don't worry about it," Chris said, grabbing my arm. "I'll do them when i get back. Now come on. It's getting dark. Literally." He says, making himself laugh a little bit. I look at him a little confused. "When I used to play cards with my grandparents, my grandpa would always say that it's gettin' dark. What he really meant was that we were taking too long." I then started laughing.

"Your grandpa sounds like fun!" I smile.

"He was." Chris looked pretty solemn.

"Hey. It's okay. I know how it feels. It's not fun, but you know that they're not in any more pain. I just can't wait till my grandma's with him."

"Mine was the other way around, but now he is. I couldn't be more happy for him." I gave him a little grin. We are now at my apartment, making our way up the stairs.

When we got to the door I stopped, not wanting Chris to see the big mess that was in there.

"Thanks for asking me to come!" I smile "That was probably the funnest date I've ever been on."

"I didn't really do anything," he smiled.

"Exactly. All my dates always did. It wasn't that much fun. You didn't, and you didn't spend any money on me either. I like it when guys don't do that."

"Well I'm glad. Maybe we can hang out again sometime! Maybe I can have your number to call you up sometime?" I smiled and have him give me his phone, and then I put it in. "I'll hopefully see you soon." He then kissed me on the cheek, and was on his way. I smiled, touching my cheek, and made my way into my apartment where my two roommates were, finally.
