Chapter 6

I've been waiting at the airport for a few hours now, waiting for someone. I am so bored. Sana pala inaya ko nalang si Seph na sumama, edi sana may kadaldalan pa ako. The person I'm waiting for clearly gave me the wrong time, mukhang sinadya. Wala akong magawa kung hindi ang maglakad lakad at kumain.

After a few more minutes of waiting,I finally saw who I came here for.

"Ate Millie, here!" I raised my hand as I called for here so that she can see me.

"Hello, my dear Adelaine. Kiss muna," she said as she pouted and closed her eyes.

"Ano ba ate, kadiri ka." I kept on pushing her face away to stop her. Malakas pa rin ang tama hanggang ngayon.

"Hoy, FYI, I am Miliana Phoem Hernandez, and my business is booming!" She proudly said with her hands on her waist.

"Ha? Edi wow," I said and laughed at her while she was pouting.

But, if I'm being honest, she is really my role model. Owner siya ng bar sa US called Sitara, and her business really is booming. For sure nag-invest pa siya sa ibang business. Ang alam ko ay shareholder din siya ng isang oil company doon, hindi ko lang sure. I admire how she handles business. Apat na taon lang ang tanda niya sa akin, but she's already this successful. That's why I'm studying Business Management, I aim to be like her.

After all the bickering we had, she decided to hug me and I hugged her back. I missed her, minsanan lang kasi ang pag-uwi niya. I'm not sure kung gaano siya ka-tagal ngayon dito.

Pagka-dating namin sa unit ko ay dumiretso na siya sa guest room. I just let her, she's probably jet-lagged from the flight. Baka rin hindi pa siya nakaka-adjust sa time-zone. I cooked lunch just in case magising siya mamaya, may naka-ready nang food. Kumuha ako ng isang pirasong papel sa notepad ko at nagpa-alam na aalis ako, iniwan ko nalang sa kwarto ni ate.

May plano kaming mag-hangout ni Daniel andd isasama na rin niya si Justin kasi matagal na kaming hindi nagkikita. Sayang hindi ko pa sila nai-introduce kay Seph baka sakaling maging close din sila. I wore a black sleeveless crop top and I paired it with beige cargo pants and white Converse sneakers.

We plan to go eat Samgyupsal together and magpa-plano nalang kami from there. I hurried because 2:00 and meet up time namin at 1:45 na.

My gosh, palagi nalang akong late.

"Mirella! Nandito kami!" I heard Dan's voice so I immediately looked at where they were.

Nakaupo na sila sa table na meron nang pagkain, they're just waiting for me. Pinigilan ko nalang mapa-facepalm ng dahil sa kabagalan ko. I speed walked on my way there but still being careful since the place was crowded. Buti nakahanap sila ng mauupuan.

"Hey guys! Sorry na late ako, may sinundo pa kasi ako sa airport," I apologised as I was sitting down. I saw that Justin was a little red maybe he had a fever.

"Nakapag-order na kami ni Justin kanina, hinihintay nalang. Damihan mong kumain nako marami akong naplano ngayon!" Daniel looked so excited, he's even clenching his fists while smiling, making him look like a child.

"Baka naman ililigaw mo kami ha. Mamaya may masama kang balak sa amin ni Dee." Justin squinted his eyes while looking at Daniel. I laughed at that.

While we were eating Daniel and Justin were bickering a lot. I can relate though. Ganito rin kami ni Seph kapag magkasama kami, we'll often tease each other. Wala talagang magpapatalo. Justin and Daniel's friendship were similar to us. After nila mag-asaran ay haharap sila sakin and they would badmouth each other. Tapos magbabatukan na naman. They were funny.

When we got full, sinabi na sa amin ni Daniel yung mga plano niya. Balak daw niyang mag-escape room kami, horror themed. He said that inside there would be zombies, ghosts, monsters, and the likes. I'm a huge fan of horror movies so this absolutely got me excited.

On the way there, we used Daniel's car. I just sat at the back and si Justin na yung nasa passenger seat. Ayoko namang maging awkward kaya dito nalang ako. Nagkwentuhan lang kaming tatlo pero nakatulog ako sa gitna ng biyahe. Nagising nalang ako ulit nung tumigil ang kotse.

After getting out of the car, we stood in front of a huge building. Nasa loob siguro lahat. Daniel talked to the receptionist while me and Justin waited for him.

"Dee! Mag-exchange na tayo ng number! Bili bili!" Halos sumigaw na siya habang nilalapit yung phone niya sakin. Umiling nalang ako at napangiti habang sinisave ang number ko sa phone niya.

"Done! Yung sayo naman," I asked and gave him a smile. He froze for a second but immediately recovered. "Sana mapakilala ko na kayo kay Seph, sigurado akong magkakasundo kayo," I told him after he gave back my phone. "She's my bestfriend."

"Baka one of these days, magkasama rin tayong lahat."

Daniel was done talking with the receptionist (who obviously like because I noticed that she was really flirty with him) and started walking towards us.

"Pwede na raw pumasok. Tara na," Daniel informed us.

"Yes! Excited na ko p're! Whoo!" Nauna nang maglakad si Justin habang nakataas pa ang mga braso. Tinawanan nalang namin siya ni Daniel.

"Hey wait." I looked at Daniel when he called me.

As I turned to him he started removing his hoodie. His shirt was rising and I could see a bit of his abs. Hinawakan ko nalang yung shirt niya para hindi na tumataas and awkwardly looked away. Baka pagnasaan pa siya nung receptionist.

"Thanks," he said after successfully removing it.

Akala ko ay tapos na siya kaya nagsimula na akong maglakad.

"Wait, suotin mo na 'to," he said and handed me the sweater.

"Huh? Why?" I looked at him in confusion. I'm not really sure why he needed to do this.

"Ah, diba nga kasi may mga actors ng multo at zombies sa loob, sigurado akong may lalaki diyan. Baka kung ano ang gawin sayo kapag nalapitan ka, baka magpasimple pa. Although hindi ko sure kung pwede silang lumapit satin, okay na rin yung sure bago pa tayo pumasok. Kaya kung may gagawin man sayo sabihin mo agad sakin or kahit kay Justin. Okay?"

"Okay," I said with a small voice and started putting his hoodie on me. I felt a little something when he said that. "Thank you so much," I said still feeling a little shy.

He smiled at me. "Tara na!" He took my hand and started pulling me.
