she was born into a wealthy family. her mum left at a young age. her dad was nice enough, but didnt support her when she came out to him. the drastic loss of love from him took a heavy toll on her. to make that worse, her stepmum was horrible. she'd constantly compare her to her friends, pressured her, and made her feel isolated. she was made to clean, cook, and do all of the very stereotypically 'womanly' stuff, while studying 25/8. of course, her brother hated their new mother too - but he couldnt do anything. eventually, he left the house to live on his own, and took all the money he needed with him. he snuck out with atsuko and by accident, she set some of the trash on fire on their way out. it went up in flames- along with the garage. they escaped, successfully, and that was where her obsession with fire started.
