New Classmate

Mal's POV
At dragonhall (my school), you're very much an outsider if you don't fear me. I'm the most evil teenager on the island. I'm walking down the
hall to class and literally everyone is avoiding
me out of fear, it's not always fun if everyone's scared of you. I only have one friend named jay,
he's a year older than me. I'm a straight 'A' student, but i make other people do my homework."Beat it"
i say to the kid who sits next to jay, he runs away
in fear."Allright guys, today there's a new girl joining
our class" the teacher says."Sick, i hope she's fun"
i say to jay. i turn back to the teacher and this really cute girl walks in what the fuck was that mal?
I shake my head and look back to see her sit down next to carlos, the nerd of our class who i usually force to do my homework.

Carlos' POV
The new girl just sat down next to me. What do i do? what do i say? What if i mess things up? this could be my chance at making my first friend at this school after 2 years."Hi, i'm Carlos, the nerd of the class. What's your name?" I tell her, she turns to me and smiles."Evie, i used to be the nerd of my school
but i got bullied extremely so my teachers agreed
to have me transfer schools" she explains."Weird"
i notice Mal is staring at Evie."What?" Evie says confused."Do you see that girl with the purple hair?" I ask her."Yeah, she's cute" She says."Maybe, but everyone in this school fears her" i tell her."Why?" She turns to me."She's maleficent's daughter" i say. "Oh" she turns away."she's staring at you" i say.
"It's never happened before, has it?" She sounds
very nervous."It has, once.." I stare in the distance, cause i don't feel like telling her the story behind it.

Mal's POV
"Can i be excused?" Why ask that? I sound like
an innocent weirdo."Sure M-Mal don't come back too late" stuttering, seriously? I hate this place.
"I won't" who am i kidding, i ain't coming back.
Later It's the end of first period and i'm looking for new girl. I'm waiting for her at the cafeteria and i
see carlos, she sat with him earlier and they seem
to get a long. There she is, she's beautiful- what the fuck i shake my head and walk up to her."We need
to talk" i say sternly while i drag her into a janitors closet."What the hell are you doing?!" She says.
"I can ask you the same, are you a witch?" I yell
at her."what, no!" She yells."sorry- ugh stop doing
this to me!" I yell."calm down!" She yells."Like it helps if you yell that!" i yell at her."Fair point"
she says. we both start laughing and for the first
time in my life, i feel really happy with someone.
"You know what? you're pretty cool, Blueberry"
i say smiling."Is that a smile, Babydragon?"
She asks."I don't know why, but i can't help it.
I'm smiling for the first time in my life" I say.
"Have you really never smiled before?" She sounds concerned."Well, you smile when you're happy
and i've never really been happy until just now"
i say."Can i see your phone?" She asks."Sure" i say while i grab it, she takes it and adds herself to my contacts."Now you can text or call whenever you need me" She says as she gives it back."Thanks,
now smile" i say and take a picture of her, then
she hugs me. I'm surprised, but i hug her back.
The 2nd period bell startles us and we sneak out of the janitors closet."We're gonna be late" Evie says. "Yeah, wanna sit next to me?" I ask her."I'd love to" she says."I'm happy to hear that" i say, we walk into class and everyone gives us strange looks when we sit down next to each other in the back."mind your
own Business" i tell them. After class Evie and i
are having lunch together and just as i want to ask her something, jay sits down next to her."What are
you doing?" He asks me."I'm having lunch with
my new friend, Evie this is jay, my best friend"
i say calm."why are you friends with her?" He asks. "Because, jay. she's nice, doesn't fear me and she cares about what i have to say" i tell him."Since when do you compliment people?" He then asks.
"I should go" i walk away and hear someone following me."Evie please leave me alone" i say walking towards my locker."Evie's not here"
i hear a familiar voice say. I slide down with my
back against my locker and Carlos sits down next
to me."Oh, hi Carlos" i say."Hey, i noticed you were upset in the cafeteria and i thought maybe you could use some comforting" he explains."Thanks, it means a lot, really" i say smiling."If you wanna talk to someone, i'm here" he then says taking me in a hug. "You know what? I really regret calling you a nerd and bullying you, you're pretty cool" i tell him. "Thanks, Mal" he says."No problem, meet me at the front gate after school" i say standing up."See you there" he says. I walk back to the cafeteria and jay walks out the door."Mal, hey, can we talk?" He asks.
"Sure, what is it?" I ask him."I just wanted to say
I'm sorry for the way I behaved earlier" he says.
"Why were you acting like that anyway?" I ask.
"I don't know, i guess i was just scared of losing you" he says."Trust me, you're stuck with me at least until the end of college" i say."Good" he laughs, then hugs me."I have to go now, but meet me at the gate after school" i say."See you then" he says walking off.

I remember i have Evie's number and call her.
Call:
M: hey, blueberry
E: oh hey Mal, What's up?
M: where are you?
E: Right now?
M: yeah.. Wait a second
I turn around and i'm looking right into her eyes.
"Hey" i say smiling, i'm lost in her eyes as she snaps her fingers at me."Woah, sorry" i say shaking out
of it."You okay?" She asks me."Yeah, i was just.."
lost in your beautiful brown eyes."What?" She says.
"Um.. Daydreaming, gotta go" i say quickly and i walk away."Almost forgot, can you meet me at the gate after school?" I say turning around."Yeah, see you then" she says.

Evie's POV
I can't believe it, i think i'm falling in love. no you can't date her, you need a prince! I tell myself, but
i can't help wanting to kiss her everytime i see her.
I'm on my way to the gate to meet up with Mal
and i see carlos."Oh hey Carlos" i say as i walk up
to him."Hey, i'm actually about to meet up with
mal at the gate" he says."Me too, let's go" i say
and we walk outside."Mal!" I yell as i see her,
she turns around and smiles."Hey guys, thanks
for meeting me here, wait where's jay?" She says.
"Right here" jay says walking up to us."So, why'd
you want us to meet you here?" Jay asks."I wanted
to take you guys to a place that's very special to me" mal said."Let's go" she says. She walks ahead with jay and i want to follow her, but someone grabs
my arm."Carlos? Why are you stopping me?"
I say turning around."I- i just wanted to ask you something" he sounds nervous."What?" I'm really confused right now."Would you, maybe, go out
with me?" He says, on a date? I mean he's not a prince but he might get mal out of my head, right?
"You mean as in a date?" I ask."Yeah" he's kinda
cute when he's nervous."Yes, i would really like that"
i say, he smiles and we hug."Are you guys coming
or not?!" Mal then yells from across the street. "coming!" I yell releasing carlos. We run across
the street and catch up with them, mal seems
kinda down.

Mal's POV
Carlos and Evie? is this real? stop being jealous mal, Love is weak and she wants a handsome prince.
i feel a hand on my shoulder."Evie" i say to myself
as i have butterflies in my stomach."Hey Mal, are you okay?" She asks me."Yeah, we're here" I say turning towards her."Where are we?" She asks me.
"My hideout" i say picking up a rock."Why are you holding a rock?!" Carlos asks."Just watch" i say
and throw the rock on a target, opening the door.
"Okay then" jay says surprised."Come on" i wave them to go up with me, they follow and we reach
the balcony."Why did we stop?" Evie asks. "Look"
i say laying my arms on the edge."Wow, you can see so much from here" Evie says stepping next to me. "I'm here a lot since my mom's never pleased with me" i say. "What do you mean?" Evie asks. "Well,
if she isn't pleased with me, things get.. Ugly" i say. "Oh" she says. "Yeah, let's go inside" i say.
