It started when Karasuno finally won against Aoba Johsai (Seijoh) during the Spring High Prefecture. After the loss in the Interhigh-Preliminaries, Karasuno was overjoyed to win against them as they said they would. Hinata was super excited to get back home and tell his mom and sister about the match through video chat. But he's also super nervous, his legs were practically shaking because he is about to do something crazy and he doesn't know if his heart can take it.

All the Karasuno's team is inside the bus, resting, except for Hinata of course. The nerves in his body are preventing him from sleeping even though he is tired because of the many matches he played. Everyone is asleep and he is glad that they are. If they were to see what Hinata was doing, they would probably ask, why the fuck is he staring at him?

I can't believe I'm going to tell him today!

Hinata got excited just by thinking about it.

He places his right hand on top of his heart. Squeezing tightly on his shirt because the pace of his heart is beating like it's running on a marathon. He stares at the alpha affectionately and hopes to god that his plan will work. He hopes the alpha will see the sincerity of his feelings is genuine. The bus made it to school. Their awesome coach, Ukai, woke the boys up and told them to wait for him at the gym. Since they get to review the matches they played that afternoon and decide how they are going to strategize to win against Shiratorizawa Academy, they need all the information they can get.

The boys are in the gym and the atmosphere is great. The third-years are talking amongst themselves and they embraced the feeling of victory on winning against Aoba Johsai. And that they have another chance to be on the court. Going to the nationals!

Then there are the second and first years making so much noise, more specifically Nishinoya, Tanaka, Hinata, and Kageyama. All four of them express all kinds of words. Some were Japanese and some weren't. But within the conversation, Hinata would secretly glance at the alpha who is currently talking with his omega friend. Yes, Hinata would sometimes feel unsure about himself if he has a chance to be with him. Because the omega is his childhood friend so they have been together since they were little. But...he already made up his mind, he is going to tell him about his feelings. To-

"Oi Hinata! Are you listening?" Tanaka said, bringing back Hinata to his senses.

"What?" Honestly, Hinata didn't hear a single word of what they were talking about. "Hehe, sorry."

Nishinoya explains the bet again and all agreed that the loser will buy meat buns within their small group. Coach Ukai came into the gym with Takeda-sensei and everyone else gathered to one spot to start with the meeting.

The meeting took about 20-30 minutes long and before everyone else could leave, he gave them a quick encouraging boost. "Let's show them we aren't the fallen champions or the flightless crows!" Coach Ukai reached out his hand in the middle, the boys understood, and one by one they placed their hands on top of one another. "We can do it. We can make it to the Nationals. I believe in you boys." The smiles appeared on their lips as pride filled them, having their coach believe in them wasn't something they heard every day. After the retirement of the legendary coach who led a group of violent crows, the current coach in Karasuno, who is the grandson of the retired coach, wants to prove to his grandfather he can do better.

"Karasuno, fight!"

Everyone was in the club room changing into their school uniforms. The next day they will have their match against Shiratorizawa. Hinata was finished changing and looked around seeing his teammates. He was grateful that he got to experience the joy to play on the court with people that have different yet amazing skills in volleyball with him. That he was not alone. He will show Ushijima Wakatoshi that Hinata Shoyou from the concrete with his team will beat him and Shiratorizawa so they will go to the nationals.

Hinata is surely grateful for that.

"Oi, Hinata! Hurry up or I'll leave you behind!" Kageyama shouted as he exited the club room.

"Wait!" Hinata panicked and rushed to put on his black blazer, "That stupid Kageyama! He never waits for me!" As he pouts and hurriedly grabs his bag so he could catch up to him. Hinata quickly said his goodbyes to his senpais and rush down the stairs. He knows he has to hurry because Kageyama lost the bet and he will be giving him the treat of meat buns along with Tanaka and Nishinoya. And he's not going to miss it!

He soon caught up with Kageyama at the entrance of the school.

"Tch-"

Hinata heard that and saw the displeasure on Kageyama's face and started to argue with Kageyama that perhaps he didn't want to wait for him and didn't want to share with him since he didn't want to spend all of his allowances. Eventually, the two settle down their arguments, and both started to walk again since Tanaka and Nishinoya are already waiting for them at the shop to get their meat buns.

"AAHH!" Hinata shouted which startled Kageyama. "I forgot my notes! Kageyama you go ahead and I'll be back. If I don't come back in ten minutes then don't wait for me!" As he shouts and runs back to school.

But truthfully it was all a lie. Hinata forgot he was going to confess his feeling to a certain alpha today since his brain is always thinking about volleyball and meat buns. He rushed back to the club room hoping to find him. The good thing was he found Sugawara the last person in the room.

Sugawara was shocked to see Hinata bursting through the club room's doors, "Hinata? Why did you come back? I thought Kageyama was going to treat you to some meat buns?"

Hinata awkwardly laughed.

"Did you forget something?"

Hinata didn't know what to say. He couldn't exactly say he was looking for a certain alpha and declare his feelings. With his panicking face appearing while crossing his fingers behind his back if his face wasn't too obvious. Hinata said the first thing that popped into his mind. "I'm looking for Tsukishima..."

After a couple of seconds, he realized what he just said. Most times whenever Hinata is arguing with Kageyama he would one hundred percent disagrees with him saying he is an idiot but not today. Hinata wholeheartedly would love to smack his head against the wall next to him.

"Oh, I just saw him heading back inside the school with Yamaguchi. Why?"

Hinata gulped and sweats were starting to appear and making him uncomfortable. "Uh.. ummm, well I..." Hinata is clearly lost for words and conflicted if he should lie to his senpai (upperclassman) since he always tells him everything. But this time, Hinata wants to do this on his own. Although Sugawara is a little bit confused as to why Hinata would be looking for Tsukishima, he doesn't think much of it.

"Is it because you need to ask him for help with your English exam coming up? If so, you might want to try catching up because you know how he is after a tiring game like today. Getting all annoyed and grumpy."

Hinata is immediately relieved to hear that his senpai didn't suspect anything. Although this time he's giving his all to keep his facial expressions under control. Hinata knows how much smarter is his senpai and usually Sugawara can always detect something is up. "Yes! You are right. I was looking for him to help me with my English exam." Trying his best to sound natural.

Sugawara looked at him oddly but he knows Hinata has always been an odd kid.

Then Hinata took this opportunity to leave quickly before Sugawara say anything else. He doesn't want Sugawara to ask more questions and start to get more curious. Hinata rush down the stairs from the club room and started heading towards Tsukishima's homeroom class. If anyone were to look at Hinata's face, they would probably would say he has the same determination expression when he plays volleyball on the court.

Tsukishima, just you wait!

I'm coming for you!
