Alexia

I was out of my room and walking through the hallway aimlessly. The house was so big that the hallways seemed like a fucking labyrinth.

"What are you doing here ?" I wasn't wrong when I said Nathalie appears from nowhere. She stood a few feet behind me as if she had been following me all along.

"I just wanted to speak to Leo." I said as I watched her walk to where I stood.

"You'll find him in his office." Am I expected to know where his office is? I thought quietly. She must have read my expression cause she pointed to the strangely big door at the end of the hallway.

I muttered a thank you and got on my way to the office.

"Alex," I turned to Nathalie, surprised she even knew my name.

"Don't piss him off."

We'll see.

"Ok." I said and continued walking. I hadn't realized how nervous I was until I reached the door. My heart was already thumping in my chest and I hadn't even knocked yet.
I stood there for a while and decided to turn back because I was too nervous to face him.

"Just come in Alex." Leo's deep voice sounded from the other side of the door. This man could see through walls now?
I ignored him and tried to tiptoe back to my room stealthily.

"I said come in." I let out a sigh of defeat and burst into his office. The office was painted a deep colour of twilight fog and the whole place had a grey and black theme. It had only one floor-to-ceiling window that faced the peaceful landscape. On the grey desk sat a desktop computer and a stack of papers supported on a black paperweight.

Leo sat on a swivel chair behind the huge desk with an open notebook in his hand. His posture screamed nothing else but 'boss'.

"Are you a wizard of some sort cause how can you see through walls?" I asked  as I made myself comfortable on the chair opposite of his desk.

"That's what brought you here?" He raised a  quizzical brow at me in amusement.

"No,I have a proposal." I said sternly trying to disguise my nervousness.

"If you're here to talk about your freedom then leave cause you won't be leaving anytime soon." He said in a serious tone as he started skimming through the files on his desk.

"I knew you'd say that but I'm not here because of that. I want you to buy me my own laptop."

"I dropped the files and looked at me in wonder before bursting into fits of laughter. I had never seen Leo laugh and I hate to say that it was such a soothing and beautiful thing. I noticed the small dimple that formed on his left cheek. How can a mafia don be so adorable and ruthless at the same time?

"What's so funny?" I said looking at him with a frown.

"You got the privilege of coming to my office and the only thing in this whole world you could ask for is a laptop? You really think I'll give you?" He said with a glint of amusement in his eyes.

"It's not that big of a deal,I know you can afford it." I said with a shrug.

"And why would I give a laptop knowing that you could hack anything in the world Alex."
