I was throwing a party for me and my friends together, not only do I have my own apartment and finally get my own space. But I'm in 18, I'm opening a new chapter of my life that I always dreamed of. I have a good paying job and soon I'll apply to community college. So to celebrate, I'm throwing a party.
I blow up the last red balloon and tie it to the same colored string, before tying that to the plastic pole in the corner. I take a couple steps back to look at the display. The food on one table up against the left wall with a cooler underneath it as you walk in, and 2 other smaller tables that have chairs around them for us all to sit at. And a couch for anyone who get wasted. I look around and see the mix of pink, red, and white balloons floating around poles and taped on the ceiling or on the floor. I was satisfied with how it turned out. I looked down at my watch to check the time, and it reads 8:56 PM. I put 9:45 on my invites so I head to my room to get changed.
I heard the door bell ring and my first few friends walked through the door. I greeted them with hugs and kisses then we sat down at one of the small tables and started up a conversation. Within the next 30 or 40 minutes, the rest of the crew made it to my place. Finally everyone was here and it was time to make it seem like a real party. I turned out the lights and pulled out some alcohol bottles and mini plastic cups, and watched as everyone started cheering

I waved goodbye to my bestfriend as she left with a smile on her face. I hope she gets home safely since she drove on her own. I close the door behind me and begin to pick up the bits of trash on the floor and throw it away. I take down all my decorations and fold up all the chairs. I wrap and cover all of the food in tin foil, before placing the batches in the fridge. I almost didn't have space for it but I made things fit. Geometry ;)
I was beginning to fall asleep on myself as I was sweeping the floor, so I hurried and threw out the trash before deciding to take a shower for bed. I tied my bag, and went down the hall to my apartment and threw the bag down the trash chute and returned in the direction of my apartment. I close the door behind me and to into my bathroom to wash up. I discard my clothing and turn on the shower. I let the water run for a bit so it'll be warm when I get in. I look myself in the mirror, making faces and posing at my reflection.
I'm pretty good lookin'
I say to myself before I walk into the shower shutting the curtains behind me. I apply soap to my loofa and aggressively smoosh it to form bubbles around it. I scrub my body singing in the process and likely not sounding all that great. I think about the party and how everyone seemed to have enjoyed themselves. And how crazy it was for Dylan to take 5 shots back to back only to take 5 more purely from his competitive side because Elizabeth was able to take 8. I was lost in my thoughts before I forgot the time. I checked my watch reading 1:02 AM. It was already early as it was. I turn off the water, and stepped out grabbing my towel from the bar next to the shower.
After I brushed my teeth and washed my face with my night routine, I finally put on an oversized shirt from my boyfriend. I stole some of his shirts for comfort since we're doing long distance. I crawl into bed and turn out my lights, and slowly drift into sleep.
I was awoken by something, but what? I looked around the room but it was too dark. So I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. But after a couple of minutes I felt something close to me. I got up this time and pulled the chain to my lamp on my night stand. I rub my eyes together and starred into the corner where I saw a tall figure standing there, and before I knew it a bright light had flashed in my eyes. I rubbed my eyes again to see the figure again, but clearer this time.
