Chapter 13

Me and Erin talked for an hour after dinner then he went back to his room. I made sure my door and windows were locked tonight and didn't want to take any chances at my first summit. Then I decided that it was probably best if I went to bed so that i wasn't tired during the summit in the morning. I woke up in the morning to my alarm blaring and someone knocking on my door. Getting up I opened it to see Erin standing there. " You may want to hurry up and get ready if you want to have breakfast before the meeting," he said. 'Thank you" I said before closing the door and rushing to get ready and rushing out the room and following Erin down to the dinning room for breakfast. I made sure to grab a cup of coffee Black with a couple of sugars. Now I'm ready to start my day man I love my coffee as I walk into the meeting room sitting down next to Erin. The council men arrived as well as the other Alphas and it was time to begin the introductions of the new Alphas this year. Councilman John stepped forward; he was the one that performed the Alpha ceremony for us in Iceland. " Today we only have three new Alphas to introduce first off we have Alpha Alex of grey moon pack. Then Alpha Logan of the Mountain pack and lastly Alpha Amara of the Icelandic pack." I watched as many of the Alphas turned to look at me with shock on their face not only for the fact that I was female but for the fact I was only eighteen while the other two were in their twenties making me one of the youngest Alpha's in this room. But to them also made me an easy target. But the rumors about the Icelandic pack were keeping at bay due to our old ways and knowing that we were one of the toughest and strictest packs when it came to training kept them back. I kept my head held high with all of them looking at me. I knew I would have to get up and give a speech on how I planned to run my pack soon. And I already knew as a woman I was more than likely gonna have to fight at least one Alpha by the end of the night. For the rights to keep my pack and prove that I was worth keeping my pack and would make a great leader. After the other two went ahead and introduced themselves and told the other Alphas their plans for growing their packs and what new changes they had made as Alphas it was now my turn. " Good evening my name is Alpha Amara Jones. I'm the Alpha of the Icelandic pack As well as what would have been the Alabama pack before their destruction. I hope if any of you have any of the members of that pack you will tell them that their Alpha is back and the pack has been reestablished and have merged with the icelandic pack. The future plans for the pack will be a mild expansion of houses as more of my members settle down and start new families along with a new training course. We have no current problem with rouges just yet or other packs as we are still settling in and getting everything back up to where it needs to be. We did find that the pack hospital had been looted either during the attack or after so we are still trying to acquire all the equipment that is needed at the moment. If any of your packs have any medical equipment that you could spare that would be greatly appreciated. Other than that I look forward to getting to know each of you and possibly creating treaties with some of you to better benefit our packs" After my speech I sat back down waiting on the rest of the meeting to start. Looking around I saw some people looking at me with sadness after finding out that I was the lost daughter of Alpha Jones and others looking like I impressed them with the level of maturity and pride that I govern myself. Looking around I can kind of see who I might be able to get to be allies or who might challenge me before this summit is over. " Thank you Alphas Now let's get down to the list of issues that need to be discussed today for each pack. Now all three of the new Alphas, what are the issues that the rest of you need to have handled as well" said councilman John. As the rest of the day went on I learned that some of the packs were having a rogue problem and some need help gathering supplies. One Alpha in particular caught my attention mentioning that he needs more medical personnel. I spoke up offering to take in two of his members willing to learn. He looked surprised that as a new Alpha i had already offered my help and my pack services I asked him if he had any extra medical supplies or equipment that he could donate us which he agreed to. I nodded and that went on to people telling what they needed or were having problems and other Alphas offering what they could for help. I noticed two Alphas that didn't speak or offer anything during the meeting. I linked Erin telling him when we get home to do some digging on those two. The meeting ended around four with no one challenging me or my place so far. I walked into the kitchen to get something to eat before dinner was prepared I made a peanut butter and banana sandwich. It has always been my favorite ever since the first time i ever tried it. I heard a voice behind me say" You know your mother loved peanut butter and bananas as well?"
