Alex's P.O.V.
Starting to panic I texted Calum. It only took him a couple of minutes to reply.
Calum: Hey, what's up? X
Me: Ashton and Michael were texting and I think it was about me. X
Calum: Remember what I said. X
Me: Why can't I trust him? X
Calum: About a year ago I was dating this girl. I was friends with Michael, Ashton and Luke. I was just like them. A while later I was at a party and when I walked upstairs she was in bed with Ashton. I forgave her, she said she was drunk but when I found out that she was still sleeping with Luke and Michael I never spoke to them again. Or her, she left school. I managed to forgive Ashton but I've never completely trusted him again. X
Me: But what does that have to do with me? X
Calum: Nothing. I just don't want you to get hurt. XI can't believe that that happened to Calum. I can't believe he used to hang out with Michael and Luke either. But why would they want to get to me? I'd understand if me and Calum were dating and Michael wanted to hurt him but we're not. We're just friends. And why would Ashton have anything against me? Maybe I'm just over thinking things.

I haven't seen Michael or Luke all day. Maybe they're not in today. I hope not or else it means I have to spend another day with Michael. As I turn a corner to head outside I notice Ashton and Calum talking in the hall. I can't help but listen in.
"Ashton just tell me. I won't be angry but I just need to know the truth." I heard Calum say.
"Okay, I know I said I wouldn't speak to them again but I have been. They're nice guys when they're not being dicks." Ashton replied.
"You promised me you'd stay away from them. But you being friends with Alex, does that have anything to do with them. She said you and Michael were texting yesterday."
"Alex has nothing to do with it, I promise. I wouldn't hurt you like that again. I genuinely think she's a nice girl."
"So why are you talking to the people who bully her?"
"Because maybe I think they're nice too."
"They're not nice, they're dicks. You probably wouldn't understand though. You've never had all three of your best friends sleep with your girlfriend." I heard Calum say before he stormed out the doors. I let out a small sigh that I had been holding in. At least I knew I could trust Ashton. A few minutes later Ashton walked out the doors and I followed behind.
I stood in the car park looking for Michaels car to see if he was here and just as I was about to give up I noticed it. I walked over expecting it to be empty but he got out of it as I approached it.
"Where have you been? I've been waiting here for twenty minutes." He told me.
"Sorry, I got caught up." I told him hurrying towards the car. When I sat down I glanced at him and noticed bruises on his hands. I wanted to ask about them but I didn't.

When we arrived home we went upstairs and I got my books out. I went over to my blinds to open them because I'd forgotten this morning. When I opened them I saw Ashton walking into his drive way. His face had bruises and cuts all over it. From the angle I was at when I listened to him and Calum speaking I couldn't see his face.
"Oh my god." I whispered to myself when I saw him.
"What?" Michael replied. I didn't think he'd heard me, I didn't want him to. Maybe if I was honest, I'd find out what happened. I don't think it was a coincidence that Michael had bruises on his hands.
"Ashton looks like he's been beat up. I should go see him." I turned to my door but Michael grabbed my shoulder stopping me.
"He's fine, he can look after himself." Michael told me.
"It was you want it." Shit did I actually just say that. I didn't mean to say it it just slipped out.
"Yes it was. Unless you want to look like that I suggest you shut up." He replied. I didn't expect him to admit it. It made me feel really nervous knowing he was capable of that.
I started the work and about 10 minutes later Michael sat beside me.
"I'm bored, I'll help." He said. This was really weird, why did he want to help me?
"Okay, you can look through this book and find good points." I told him which he seemed willing to do. I leaned over slightly and noticed he was staring at me.
"What happened?" He asked furrowing his eyebrows.
"What?" I asked confused. He pointed to my chest. The bruise he gave me was showing.
"You shoved me into a locker." I said bluntly. I couldn't believe how confident I was being.
"That was me?" He asked in disbelief. I nodded my head but didn't look at him.
"Sorry." He quietly said. Did he just say sorry to me? Am I going crazy or something?
