Dex POV

The mysterious person walked out the undeadbolted (yes that's a Technopath word) front door.

"Welcome to Hogwarts," they repeated. They walked right up to us. Had they reached out their arm, they could have captured us. Although they weren't trying to kill us yet, I didn't trust them.

They, whoever they were, clearly knew who we were. Since they knew where we were, who we were, and they were really creepy, I didn't see any harm.

"Who are you?" I asked trying to make it sound menacing like Mysterio, the villain from Spiderman: Far From Home --one of Sophie's favourite movies. Instead, it sounded a lot like a strangled hamster trying to speak. "Wee ai u!" was more like how it sounded.

Biana, strangely unafraid, understood. "He means who are you," she corrected. I was glad someone besides computers understood Dex language.

"Reveal yourself first," they said.

I could see myself again. I guess Biana trusted this person.
They took off their wizard hat.

"Sophie?" I asked, shocked. She totally freaked me out.

Linh looked just as surprised as I felt. Her face told me that she wanted to scream at Sophie and jump for joy at the same time.

"Yup."

Biana was laughing so so hard. "Oh My God!" she gushed, barely able to speak because of her laughter. "I can't believe you fell for that!"

"What, you didn't?" Linh questioned.

"I have my ways."

"C'mon you guys. It was just a joke. You want to come explore the castle now?" She welcomed us. She seemed so much happier now, even though it had only been three days since we talked to her.

"Umm, that might not be a good idea. We're not necessarily supposed to be here." Linh said.

"Oh," Sophie's face fell. "But I'm sure you would get along well."

"So how are things here? You seem way happier." I asked, as she led us into the castle.

"Yup, I am! I'm sure you guys will really enjoy it and no one will say that you were here. Also, I give a decent tour, unlike Biana." She said as she casually walked into the amazing dining hall. I had no idea what technopath or human made it, but the ceiling looked like a night sky.

Right then, two twins with identical cuckoo hairdos walked up. The one on the left had bright pink hair, while the one on the right had bright orange. Otherwise, they looked exactly the same. "Sophie, who are these people here?" The bright pink haired one asked. I noticed that he had a British accent, almost like Fitz's. "With the weird clothes and capes?" Turns out, he's just as bad as Fitz.

"Yea, way to insult us with your hair," I told him.

"C'mon you guys, the twins are my friends, and Dex, Biana, and Linh are my friends. Be nice to each other y'all!" Sophie said cheerfully.

"I'm Fred," the one with neon orange hair said.

"And I'm George."

"I'm Linh, this is Biana, and this is Dex!" Linh said in her usual cheerful way.

"Nice to meet you Biana, Deck, and Linh," George said. Oh wait was that George? I think it was Fred.

"Excuse me, my name is Dex." I said matter-of-factly.

"Rhymes with Rex? And Lex? And Bex?" They asked in sync. Linh cringed, seemingly worried that we might not 'get along well' after all. Gosh, they already knew how to get to me, I had only known them for about a minute. I could see that this was going to go bad. They reminded me of Fitz and Keefe rolled into one.

"Anyways, this is the amazing dining hall. I love the ceiling, and I don't know how the wizards could have even made it! I mean, you're our best technopath, and no offense, but I don't think even you could've done this." Ouch, that stung. It felt like we were going back to the days when Alden's mind was broken. New friends, new worries, and new thoughts. Sophie was gonna ignore me again, except with new Vackers. At least I knew what was coming this time.
