The first attitude of the corporate world is CONFIDENCE. Confidence might seem like a common word and an easy attribute but, on the contrary, Confidence is a virtue that is definitely not for everyone. PATIENCE and CONFIDENCE are very expensive virtues in life that wealth cannot buy and a foolish man can never comprehend.
To sell your brand, you must always carry a bag of goodies containing the following:

• Confidence
• Patience
• Intellectual proficiency
• Team spirit/work
• Comportment
• Manner of communication(approach/ speech)
• Good fashion sense
• Good Hygiene
• Honesty
• The Art of Minding Your Business

As a brand that you are, you must always be in your best character at all times (you can never be caught unfresh!)

• Confidence;

Self confidence ;
You must always be comfortable in your own skin regardless of your surroundings. This simply means that you must always carry yourself with pride and dignity, trust your mind and instincts at all times, always believe in yourself, never let anyone's opinion of you weigh you down. Always focus on being the best version of you at all times. Never stop learning because knowledge is key/power. INFERIORITY/SUPERIORITY COMPLEX IS A NO NO!!!!
When entering a meeting, don't be intimidated by anyone's dream or aspiration, let your own dream overwhelm you at all times.


• Patience;

Patience: "the capacity to accept or tolerate a delay, problems without being anxious or annoyed"
Tolerance: "the ability or willingness to tolerate the existence of opinions or behavior that one dislikes or disagrees with". To have team spirit, you must have patience/tolerance. To be able to adapt to every situation and environment, we must learn to be patience and tolerate everyone regardless of who and what. Always listen more and talk less.
One must learn to not react to every situation or outburst because we mostly react irrationally at the peak of anger and hence make terrible utterance we might regret. In our daily activities we should always lend a hand of tolerance to people and be always patient because no two persons are the same.


• Intellectual proficiency

Proficiency > competence
Intellectual proficiency; the quality of being adequately or well qualified intellectually (cognitively skillful)
It is not enough to be confident and patient, one has to be intellectually sound and upright, and you should be able to proffer solutions to issues, make meaningful suggestions, and be cognitively alert. You should be able to effortlessly infuse knowledge and ideas to people around you.


• Team work/spirit

I. Team: a group of interdependent individuals who work together to achieve a common goal.
II. Team work simply means collaborative effort of a group to achieve a common goal or to complete a task in the most effective and efficient way .The willingness of a group of people to work together to achieve a common aim.
III. Teamwork skills: qualities and abilities that allow you to work well with others during conversations, projects, meetings, or other collaborations. Having teamwork skill is dependent on your ability to communicate well, actively listen and be responsible and honest.

• Comportment: behavior

The way you act and carry yourself, the manner in which you conduct yourself. You can call it demeanor. Actions and mannerisms made by individuals in conjunction with their environment.
In the face of pressure and stress, how well do you manage yourself and people around you? In the midst unfamiliar faces and environments how well do you carry yourself and maintain your cool. On the seat of affluence and plenty, what is your character? Did you react positively or negatively? In your work area, how do you interact with your bosses, equals and subordinates?


• Communication:

Even on the verge of anger (or any form of emotion) learn to be subtle and polite while passing a message or reporting an issue. Do not raise your voice at the next person, do not yell or scream, do not roll your eyes or make any kind of disrespectful facial expression. Control your emotions, always learn to talk or communicate subtly/calmly and politely even when happy/at the brink of tears.
In communication, there are words that are called "the magic words". These words when used are capable of calming any situation or heart regardless of what ever is involved.
• I AM SORRY
• PLEASE
• THANK YOU
No one is too big to say sorry, the word sorry when sincerely said instantly pacifies the heart of the other person. Even when right/misunderstood/wrongly judged, say sorry and mean it then watch the magic it does.
Please is a word that spells politeness. When used, one is seeing as "responsible"
Thank you simply means appreciation. Appreciate people always even for the tiniest help/ detail. Do not assume that not everyone is worthy of your apology or appreciation. Everyone is king in their own world. These 3 words I call courtesy words, it should never be too heavy for you to carry around (in our offices, worship places, business places, schools, public transports, homes etc...).Do not allow pride or ego deprive of good fortunes all because you feel it is not in your place to be sober. Pride comes before downfall.


• Good fashion sense

This topic is extremely important because no matter how much we tend to ignore, good fashion statement open doors for us sometimes.
Firstly, find the kind of clothes that compliments your body (size). Do not wear/buy clothes because others are buying or because it is the trend, it might be the trend but it might not suit your body structure. For a curvy person, wear clothes that are fitting but free as well (you do not want to drag the wrong attention to yourself at the office environment) and for a slim/skinny person, you've got no business with maxi sized clothes. For those of us with pouch (lower abdominal fat) try to use body shapers when wearing fitted dresses. Most importantly never ever feel intimidated by anyone's body structure; you are beautiful the way you are.
Secondly, learn how to blend colors to fit or rhyme with your skin tone. Know the colors that would make your skin and features pop and also know the ones that do not compliment your natural tone.
Know the right dress for every occasion, you have no business wearing party dresses and see through clothes to a business environment, colored hair extensions are not bad at all, but don't be too extra. Know the right makeup products for your skin so you won't come out looking like a masquerade. Apply minimal make-up for work environment, look good and responsible while. Looking good is good business. Remember to smell good too. It does the trick almost all the time.


• Good Hygiene

Please endeavor to maintain good hygiene at all times both at home and out. Have a proper bath, wash sensitive areas in detail, and use very good antiperspirant or deodorant because it helps you feel fresh for almost the whole day. Do your laundry properly and pay attention to details while doing that. If you must repeat a dress please endeavor to air properly to avoid smell when met with body heat (there will not be need to pour the entire bottle of perfume on the cloth/dress) make sure your clothes are straightened/ironed. Keep your surroundings clean always, trash when needed, sweep/dust/mop when due, even at the office environment. Ensure your work area is properly ventilated, it helps you think well.


• Honesty

For every situation you find yourself, always abide by the truth. Do not sell your truth to please anyone, let people know you and appreciate you always for your selflessness and honesty it will pay off at the end. Let your white be white always.


• The Art of Minding Your Business
Always mind the business that pays you! You have no right or footing in another person's issues. Do not gossip or interfere in other people's issues or lives, it is not yours. Do not be known as the office gossip or rumor monger. Drink water and face what is facing you. The Art of Minding your Business is vast so it will be on its own soon!
