"Thank God were home Luke" I said while opening up the door to my house to let him in.
"I know, like what the hell did those guys even want? They never bother us. What changed?" Luke said, looking just as confused as I was.
"I don't even know Luke. Like Calum wouldn't leave me alone today at school too. I wonder what crawled up his ass?" I asked. And its true, it had just started today that these guys were bothering us. Usually both of our groups left each other alone. Maybe they just realized that were easy targets?
"I don't get it Jules, the last time they even talked to me was when I tried to be friend with them. And we all know how that worked out." Yes you heard Luke right. There was a time in his life when he did try to become friends with the douche bags.
He was just really lonely, and he needed some friends. But they took him as a joke. They were friends with him just so they could make fun of him behind his back. Which sucks.
"I know Luke, but lets just talk about that later. Come on, you've got some math to teach me."
You see, Luke was very good at math. While I not so great at it. I'm an AP student in all my other classes, but for math stuff just doesn't work out. So Luke helps me, a lot. Almost every night we do out homework together, in hopes of me doing better.
He's taught me numerous study techniques, and has even stayed over past midnight on nights before tests to make sure I do good. I couldn't ask for a better guy to call my best friend.
"Alright, lets get this started." Luke said from the other side of my bed as he pulled out the math book to get started on out homework.
"Luke, I have no clue what any of this even means, what even is trigonometry?" I asked, utterly clueless on how to do these problems.
"Alright, its actually quite simple, all your trying to do is find the angles of this triangle and the lengths of its sides. an easy way to remember it is using the phrase Soh Cah Toa, its a mnemonic device to help you remember the functions of Sin, Cos, Tan. So what you do is find the-"
"Hey Luke," I said, causing him to look up from the textbook he was looking. "I love it when you talk nerdy to me" I said with a giggle. As me and Luke burst into a fit of laughter.
"Oh my God I hate you Julie."he said between laughs. "Come on focus, we have a lot of work to do".
