Strange

Chapter 1- The Nightmare

It was late at night, a little girl with white and teal hair was sleeping soundly when she was gently awoken by a young man with white and purple hair. "P-Papa" she said sleepily haven just woken up. "They there Pumpkin" her father whispered " I need you to get all of your things packed up". The girl nodded her hair falling over her eyes. Getting up her father left the room leaving his child to pack.

She got up and started to pack her clothes, her fluffy tail swaying behind her. She didn't question why she had to pack, they were always on the move only settling down for short periods of time. A noticeable feature about her and her family other then their crazy hair, is their wolf ears and tail.

(You see in this world their are these hybrids, people and animals mixed together and the occasional mage. Way to tell them out is by their unnatural hair and eyes.)

After packing she left her room and went down stairs to the living room. Seeing her mother with her brother in the middle of the room she went to them. "Mommy what's going on?" Questioned the seven year old, her mother didn't look at her "not now Thea". Their father came racing down the stairs in panic shining in his baby blue eyes. "Their here, we need to go now!" He exclaimed grabbing the hand of his daughter.

"Papa what's going on" asked the eight year old as she was dragged toward the back door. Her father looked at her "I'll tell you later pumpkin, but for now I need you to run as fast as you can" nodding Thea ran for the back door as fast as she could, her father right beside her. She reached for the door, her heart racing, she had picked up the scent of a stranger outside and they didn't smell friendly. The sound of the front door slamming open made her freeze in her tracks, "FREEZE OR I'LL SHOOT" yelled the intruder.

Thea whipped her head around staring at the person holding them at gun point. Her father doing the same. His ears drawn back flat against his head and mouth in a snarl as a warning to the human on the other side of the room. Beside him stood her mother and brother both as scared as her. The human moved forward yelling out threats. Thea's father looked to his left "Kiwi I want you to take the kids and run" he said looking over at the woman to his left. She looked over at him, her pale green eyes widened at what he said.

"Hayden you can't be serious!" She whisper-screamed the said man locked eyes with her. "Dead serious, I want you to take the kids and run, I'll hold off the human." Then he ran, straight at the man in-front of them, leaving them no chose but to run. Kiwi threw open the back door and grabbed her kids desperate to get away from the house, tears falling from her face. Thea looked back at her house, a gunshot breaking the silence and a saddened howl from Thea fallowing after.
