Alex's P.O.V.

After two days of not waking up until it was past 11am I'm finding it pretty hard to get out of bed at 7am. Somehow I manage to drag myself out which quite literally meant I rolled off of the bed and onto the floor. It kind of hurt but it was the only way I could get out of bed.

It's times like this I'm glad my room has an en-suite. I walked over to the shower and brushed my teeth while it warmed up. After I showered a dried my hair and then chose an outfit. Just some white skinny jeans with a lilac top with sleeves. I liked wearing sleeves because it meant I had something to hide my hands with. I don't know why but whenever I get nervous I like to tuck my hands out of sight. I decided to loosely curl my hair today and then applied the usual makeup.

I had to skip breakfast again because I spent too long in bed.
I was about to start running to the bus stop when I remembered that Ashton said I could get a lift with him. I hesitantly walked a few paces until I reached his gate. I looked around and his car was still there. A few seconds later Ashton walked out his house and noticed me by the gate.

"So you did take my offer then! I wasn't sure you would be able to 'trust me'." He said smiling as he imitated Calum.

"Yeah I was going to miss the bus anyway." I told him as he held the passenger door open for me.

"So what did Calum say to you the other day? I saw him going into your house." Ashton said when we stated driving. I knew he would bring it up but I didn't want to say anything because I don't want them falling out because of me.

"Nothing really. We just talked about stuff." I told him. I obviously wasn't going to tell him the truth.

"What kind of stuff?" Ashton asked me emphasising 'stuff'. He seemed to be in a really good mood. He hadn't stopped smiling since I'd seen him this morning.

"Just about school." I lied. It was the first thing that popped into my head. I'm such a bad liar, he can probably tell I'm not telling him the truth.

"Oh yeah, I heard that you have to do a project with Michael." He said. His smile faded and he looked quite serious. The only thing that concerned me was that I haven't told Calum about it so how did Ashton find out? It's not something that people would talk about.

"Erm yeah. I'll probably end up doing the whole thing on my own though. I don't think he'll help and I don't want to meet up with him after school or anything." I told him feeling quite nervous just thinking about it.

"Is there any way you can get out of it? I'll come to your class with you if you want to go to your teacher." He suggested. He seemed to be being really sweet at the moment. He reached his hand over to my leg and started rubbing it softly to comfort me.

"I would but she already told me we can't change our partners unless there's a big problem but if I told her that he bullied me then my parents would probably find out." I was starting to get really nervous now. I really didn't want to go to school and have to see Michael and Luke today.

"Everything will be okay. I'll try think of something." He told me as he took his hand off of my leg and parked the car. It felt kind of strange being comforted. I wasn't used to it.

I told Ashton that I would catch up with him when we got inside. I only said that because I saw bright red hair over by the entrance and I knew that they would see me. Everyone had already gone inside so I was the only one walking in which meant I couldn't try and hide from them.

"Oh look who it is." Luke told Michael as he pointed at me. They both dropped their cigarettes and walked over to me.

"Did you get some of that project done?" Michael asked me as he stood over me. I shook my head in response.
