There is something about this princess. Something special. She was born different from the others. The daughter of King James and Queen Abby was deformed. Her right hand was shaped weirdly and all her life her parents hid it. They hid her.
While her brother, Prince Sam, went to all the grand balls and all the dinner parties, she was hidden away in her room. She always felt like there was no purpose in the world for her until the day she ran away.
On the day before her birthday she sat at her window and watched the birds in the tree. There she sat and thought how good it would be to be free like the birds and to fly over the city and watch everyone run around. Listening to the birds and the wind made her sleepy. She was nearly asleep when someone knocked on her door.
"come in," she yelled.
"good afternoon, little princess," her brother, Prince Sam said as he entered her room.
"what do you want Samuel,"
"I just wanted to say hello to my little sister,"
"or did you want gloat about you amazing dinner party you have tonight,"
"I'm sorry it has to be this way, you don't deserve it....."
"I DONT DESERVE!! WELL THEN TAKE ME OUT OF THIS CAGE!!! TAKE ME OUTSIDE TO THE GARDEN!! LET ME OUT!!!"
"you know I can't do that,"
"please leave Sam"
"fine, have a good afternoon Princess Clarke,"
Once Prince Sam had left Princess Clarke's room she went back to her windowsill and sat and watch the birds again. She wanted to be free. She wanted to escape. She wanted to go outside. That's when she made her escape plan.
