"I was never lonely until I stumbled into your company. And now all I want is for my silence to be filled with you." ~S.L. Gray
Your P.O.V.
'I'm cornered.' I panicked trying to look for an escape from the guards.
"C'mon guys. We've known each other since we were kids. Don't do this." I tried to persuade them but it was useless.
"Sorry, (L/n)." Monoma drew his sword and lunged at me.
I dodged past him and continued running through the town square. I stopped at the gates and turned around. All of the knights and guards that had been after me slowly came to a stop and glared at me. I slowly shook my head and started running into the forest.
When I reached the edge of the forest I was out of breath and tired. Not to mention the fact I was wearing heavy armor and had my quiver and hunting bow across my back. But I couldn't stop, I needed to keep running and get as far as my legs could carry me. I slowed down and placed my hand against a tree, leaning over taking deep and heavy breaths. My legs gave way and I collapsed to the ground. My arms held me up but I couldn't stand. I needed rest, water, and food. I didn't have time to take anything when I ran. I just had to get out. And now I regretted everything.
"I think I'm gonna vomit..." I sat up on my knees and felt myself gag. I covered my mouth with the back of my hand and used my other arm to push myself to my feet.
I stumbled slightly but kept walking, trying to find a stream or river. I heard the soft sound of running water and stumbled through some bushes. I fell onto my hands and knees into the water that just reached mid-thigh level. I cupped my hands and pulled the water to my face, drinking as much as I could. I heard a rustling in the bushes across from the stream and froze. My eyes glued on the bushes waiting for any more movements or sounds. There was a low growl and the silhouette of someone walking in the treeline. I stayed still hoping to go unnoticed by the being. A boy with ash blonde hair walked to the stream, a freshly killed deer slung over his shoulders. He threw the lifeless animal down and knelt by the stream cleaning his blade. I tried to move and hide again but as soon as my arm moved back his head snapped up towards me. My (e/c) orbs met with his sharp crimson ones. My breath caught in my chest and I knew what was coming next.
He glared at me and lunged forwards. I couldn't move as the weight of him slammed into me. We both fell into the stream, the boy on top of me, quickly rendering me unable to move as he held my arms down. I held my breath and tried to fight back only to realize it was useless. He'd drown me or at least wait until I passed out. I wasn't about to give up now, I had to do something. If I struggled it would only cause me to black out sooner.
I grabbed his forearms and kicked at his sides. I was at a disadvantage here but I wouldn't let him win. It felt like my head was going to explode, if I didn't die from strangulation he'd surely drown me. I only had a few options.
I was able to push him off enough to get some air before he pushed me back down. 'Come on (Y/n).' I kept fighting but I knew I'd be dead soon. My vision started fading and I couldn't fight back anymore. I looked up at him pleadingly and gave in to the inevitable.

The knight went limp and I pulled the bastard out of the water.
"That's what you get for trying to kill my fucking dragon." I threw the body onto the shore and growled seeing the marks this bitch left. An annoyed huff sounded over my shoulder and I turned around almost running into Ei. "Shut up I had to take care of that thing." I pointed at the armored body and picked the deer back up.
The beast huffed again, blowing smoke from his nostrils. I shrugged angrily and started carrying our food back to camp.
