I woke up the next morning to a bowl of oatmeal and blueberries. Or at least that's what Marilyn said it was. I'd never had it before. It was good though.
"So Josie..." Andrew said, "I need to go back to the market today to get more food. It's kind of a long drive, but it's good to get out a bit. Would you... like to come with me?" Wow. I wasn't sure if I should go. Andrew seemed like a harmless guy, but he was really upset that I came here in the first place. I looked at Marilyn. She gave me an encouraging smile and nudged towards Andrew, suggesting I go with him. I nodded at Andrew. "Alright, well, we better get going. Put on your shoes." I wrote to him: I don't have any shoes. "You don't have any shoes? Well how are we supposed to go to the market now?"
"Josie, I think I might have some shoes for you. Hold on." Marilyn said as she walked into the hall and disappeared. A minute later, she returned with a cardigan and flats in her hand. "Here, honey, here's some shoes and a cover-up to keep you warm." I thanked her. "Alright, let's go. Bye, Grams." Andrew said. "We'll be back in a few hours."
"Okay, see you then." Marilyn said as she waved goodbye. "Oh, and Josie, the world can be a dangerous place, as you know. Stay close to Andrew and be careful, but also have fun." She kissed me on the forehead again. "See you soon, dear."
