Chapter one :
My vision blurred severly and I blinked a few times trying to stop myself from sleeping. I yawned and stretched my arms tiredly as I stood on the wooden boards of my old childhood tree house.I grabbed the chair that was laying at the end of the room and brought it under the closed window.I sat on the old, wooden but comfy chair and pressed my forehead against the Window pane fighting a wave of exhaustion from the sweltering day I just had.I raised up my chin and admired the sky . Stars sparkled like never before, And the moon has never been brighter.
The sky showed that everything would be okay and that there was nothing to worry about. But nothing is ever just..okay. There must be something wrong ; The sky never looked this...plain and calm before. I looked down again at my house that's full of lights with baloons flying out of the windows now. I could hear the drum beats of the music all the way from here, it was super annoying .
I've never been the party girl. I am the girl who sulks at the edge of the classroom with a seven hundred pages book,The girl who speaks fluent scarcasm with her normal, crazy best friends , I never wanted my birthday party to go like this ,but my mother insisted .
She said her everyday quote , "Have fun while you're still young and get a life!" So i reactually said yes, knowing there was no escape and for her sake . My best friends, Ammy, Eva and sasha were sitting at the garden playing truth or dare or as I guessed. One of them would tell me to go and enjoy the party every minute, but I shooed them off each time they did.
The sound of something hitting the floor alarmed me from my rumbled thoughts and I quickly stood up , and searched for whatever hit the wooden boars. Finally, something caught my eye. An airoplane paper was just laying there on the ground beside the small chair. I carefully picked it up and sat on the chair again.
I unfolded it and shivered from the cool breaze that just hit my body ,comming from the open window, and rubbed my arms preventing any goosebumps from apearing. There, something was written. I couldn't read what was written , the handwriting was crumbled and hard to read .I decided it would be be better if I read it later. Who sent this? how did it come here? I don't know.
I shakingly grabbed the paper and kept a firm grip on it . I Inhaled and exhaled tiredly and climbed down the ladder slowly and walked my way towards my house. I swear, if it was any of my friends, they won't live long. I stumbled alot while walking due to my exhaustion.I ignored the calls of my friends to come and sit with them.
"Hey! Olivia, Happy Birthday! " The School's jock ran up to me. Wait, this would be the first time ever talking to him.Notice me know? I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
"Thanks"I muttered and scooped past him.The house is so messed, I should've disagreed on the whole idea of this party, but NOO! I had to be the goody two shoes. Anyway. My best friends, Ammy, Eva, and sasha were all grouped together with some cheerleaders and people I didn't know, they blended perfectly with the atmosphere.; unlike me.
Once I finally got up the stairs,I scurried to my bedroom; I had to blink each second to prevent myself from collapsing where I was standing.I flopped on the bed , closed my eyes before opening them again and staring at the ceiling. It was hard walking past the people that were drinking and having fun. They'd offer me a drink and I had to keep repeating 'I don't want one, thank you' thing.Hell, mother invited almost half the school here!
It was sooo my birthday party.
"Oly?.. you in here?" Asked my best friend, Ammy, while peeking her head from my door .I sat up,Cleared my throat and hummed as a response.
