Princess Clarke had always dreamt of grand escape plans and crazing ways to run away, but now it was time to put one of them into action. Now escaping was going to be harder because of her hand. Clarke's hand was deformed. There was nothing anyone could do about it. Two of her fingers were joined at the bone and her bones grew the wrong way. This meant Clarke was limited to what she could do and this is why her parents hid her.
First, Clarke would climb out her classroom window as the classroom is on the bottom story of the castle.
Then, she would go through the back gate out into the old courtyard. No one goes there anymore. It has been abandoned for years. No guards even guard it anymore.
Finally, she would set up the supplies she needs and just hid out in the courtyard and explore during the day.
Now it was time to put her plan in action. After dinner she went to the kitchen to thank the chef. While she was in the kitchen she snuck food into her rucksack while the chef had her back turned. Next she went to her special box in her room, were she had over $2,500 of money she was given over the years. She also went to the closest linen cupboard and grabbed her favourite blankets and put them in another rucksack.
After she had grabbed everything she went and put her two rucksacks in the classroom, so tomorrow (on her birthday) she could escape out of the window.
She wrote a letter to her brother:
To Dear Sam,
I'm sorry it has to be this way but I'm tired of being locked in my room. You get to go to all the fun events and I'm hidden away in my room. You are constantly loved by mum and dad and I see them once a day. I love you and just know I am safe.
From your Little Princess,
Clarke
All she had to do now was put her plan into action.
