"let's go." issac called out to the group, making his way out of the cellar slowly.

"what?" A (y/h/c) girl asked, standing up from the corner she sat in.

"come on (y/n), we got to go." stiles told her, walking towards her and extending his hand. this simple jester caused the girl sudden panic, as if she didn't understand what was going on.

"i'm sorry, who are you?" she managed to breath out, worry filling up her face quickly. her eyes flooded with fear and what the boy could only make out as tears as she took in her surroundings.

was it a new experience for her or was she just simply playing a joke on her friends?

or was it a possibility it was neither of the two, and (y/n) was doing something else stiles couldn't understand.

"we have to go." issac called from above the cellar, pulling argent out as he spoke. "pack it up, you can continue your lovely talk in the car when we're far away from here." he added, staring at the two teenagers with such interest, almost as if he was studying the two of them.

"listen, i don't know you. i don't want to know you. but i'd like to go home now please, i have a little sister waiting for me." the girl pleaded, her voice cracking as tears spilled from her eyes.

"(y/n), i don't know why you're playing at this, but it's not funny. let's go." stiles pleaded, grabbing the girls hand and leading her towards where issac was waiting.

"please let go." the girl asked, her whole body shaking.

"sweetie, we have to go." ms. mccall told her, walking over, taking stiles' hand out of her grasp and replacing it with her own.

"this isn't summer falls, i know my home like the back of my hand."

"that's because it isn't, now as much as i love the lost puppy act, drop it. this place is literally going to collapse." issac spoke up again, pulling sheriff stilinski out.

"i'll come with you, only because i don't want to die just yet." and with those words, the teenage haired girl was whisked away out of the cellar, stiles not leaving her side.

"miss. (y/l/n), as much as we love to have you here, we can not stress enough that you finish this novel you've written in your absence." the teacher called out to the girl.

(y/n) had been in a new school in a new district for less than two weeks, and as good as it felt to be away from the hell-hole she lived in before, something felt off.

she had all these memories she knew she had but just couldn't remember, all these people she knew she knew but just didn't know, all these moments in time she knew she witnessed but has no recollection of.

although she had been telling herself it was just a dream, she could not get the image of a teenage boy around her age holding her close, as if he was going to loose her at any given point.

"sorry sir- there isn't much left, i promise." she responded swiftly, moving her attention back to the book that laid before her.

"(y/n), we've been over this. you know me, I'm stiles stilinski. we've been friends for around a month now, come on, you remember that, right?" stiles begged, clutching the girls hand so tight it felt as though it could fall off.

"no. I'm sorry. my only friends are luca, dana, and zeke. no stiles." she responded tentatively, her eyes shimmering in the shadow of the moonlight.

"stiles, hunny, this isn't going to work the way you want it to. patients with amnesia don't just remember." mc. mccall spoke up, staring at the two teenagers, almost as if she was trying to profile them and their actions.

"amnesia? i don't have amnesia-" (y/n)started before she was cut off by stiles, who once again decided to voice his concerns.

"what if it's the darach? we know ms. blake was her mother, so what if it's some sort of fail safe?"

"darach?" the girl asked, fiddling with her thumbs.

"bad guy." issac explained bluntly, also staring at (y/n).

---

"wait, you're telling me that this character doesn't remember her own friends?" one of (y/n) classmates asked, staring at the girl with confusion.

"just wait and see." she sighed, looking down at the story. it was almost over, or at least the written version.

the version she knew her teacher and classmates would like, even if she herself didn't like it.

---

"so, i'm the daughter of the bad guy, harper kidnapped us all, and you're all my friends?" (y/n) double checked, playing with her hair as she sat in the back of stiles' jeep, roscoe.

"uh, yeah." stiles responded blandly, staring at the road. "you moved here, to beacon hills, not too long ago, and at first you didn't like any of us, but we became friends." he added, tapping his fingers against the steering wheel.

"shocker."

"hey, uhm, you seem to not have lost your massive attitude, that's a good thing." issac commented from the back row.

"sorry it's just, i can't imagine leaving my best friends and boyfriend behind like it was nothing to move out in the middle of nowhere california. don't get me wrong, i always idolised cali when i was a little girl, but things have changed." (y/n) responded softly, watching the world blur past her in bursts of colours.

"boyfriend..?" stiles asked, his voice breaking as he spoke.

"oh yeah, mich. we call him mischief though, he's always getting into trouble. especially after his dad passed away when he was eight."

"hey stiles, isn't michzyslaw your real name? i thought your mom would call you mischief as well..?" issac asked, staring at stiles with a soft glow in his eyes.

"yeah, she used to." stiles whispered, his words barely audible.

"oh that's hilarious! mich's father used to call him mischief before he passed away and it just carried on. maybe that's why i befriended you. you two do seem to have a lot in common." (y/n) laughed, placing a hand on stiles' shoulder as she smiled.

"yeah."

"way to be a debby-downer." she grunted, removing her hand from his shoulder and placing it on her leg. "where are we going anyways, i don't really remember this town at all, but i definitely don't know this road." (y/n) added, staring back at ISSAC who just shrugged.

"we're going to go kill the bitch who made you forget us."
