My black heels clicked with each graceful step I took. I glanced at myself in the glowing white window. My emerald green dress sparkled under the pale moonlight.
"Goodness, where is he?" I mumbled to myself.
Uraraka clung to my side, glancing around the room.
"Don't turn around!" she firmly grasped my hand and pulled me towards the faux gold circle tables. My curiosity got the best of me and I turned my upper body around, and there he was. Todoroki glid around the floor, Momo in his arms. Her black hair rested gently on her left shoulder. Her waist curved perfectly into rounded hips. His black suit matched her red skin tight dress ever so slightly.
Uraraka yanked me away and sat me down, "I told you not to look, why'd you look?!"
"I'm sorry, I got curious!" I yelled back.
The chair I sat on faced away from the dancefloor. Uraraka sat on the opposite side, staring at me. She glanced over at the door and her face instantly lit up.Midoriya, Bakugo, and Kirishima walked in. She stood up and waved them over.
"Hey Y/N! Hi Uraraka!" Midoriya smiled and gave me a big hug."Hey guys!" I replied, and hugged him back.
Bakugo sat down next to me and Midoriya sat across from him. Kirishima greeted us then walked over to obliterate the food table.
"Where's your date, huh?" Bakugo asked me.His faced was softer somehow, he didn't have the angry glare he always did.
"Why do you care?" I returned his question with one of my own.
He scoffed, "I don't, dumbass!"
Midoriya chuckled, "Yes you do, that's why you asked, kacchan!"
"Hey, shut up!" He shouted, making the walls of the ballroom shake.
I put my finger to his lips and shushed him. He harshly slapped it away. I slid back into the chair and relaxed. The others made small talk amongst themselves while I watched.
We sat there for about 15 minutes before someone tapped on my shoulder.
I sat up to see Todoroki and Momo standing behind me with small smiles.
"Hi Y/N, having fun?" Momo smiled and kneeled down next to me.
I nodded, turning away from Todoroki and facing her.I couldn't lie, she was a gorgeous girl. I most definently would have taken her for myself if Todoroki hadn't beat me to it. She tilted her head and took my hand while talking to Uraraka.
I had noticed that Bakugo had gotten fidgety. He wasn't speaking or looking at anyone else.
I reached out my hand to him, "Are you okay?"He sighed, "I'm fine."
Todoroki kept tapping my arm and staring, trying to get my attention. I groaned and stood up, grabbing his arm and pulling him to the side.
"We need to talk," I muttered and walked him over towards the balcony. The group watched me drag him like a dog to a more secluded space. I leaned over the swirling black railing, watching as the sky grew dark.
"Why did you invite me if you were going to bring her?" I looked at him and asked.
A rain droplet fell on my cheek, rolling down like a tear.He pushed his brows together in confusion, "What are you talking about? I didn't."
"What? You literally did!" I stared at him awkwardly and pulled out the hand written invitation.
He took it and skimmed over it for a second, "That's not my handwriting, and I'd never send a card. I prefer face to face confrontation."
I sighed and darted my eyes around to avoid meeting his, "Well..."
He pocketed the paper and turned for the door, "Let's go, I think I know whose this is."
I followed him back into the building. The others all turned away as to pretend they weren't awaiting our return. Todoroki hovered over Bakugo, handing him the paper.
He hesitantly took it and put it face down on the table, "What's all this for, huh?"
"You know what you did."
Todoroki kept an expressionless face the whole time. I could tell that only intimidated bakugo even more. The look on his face screamed guilty. He pushed up against the table and stood in Todoroki's face, "What are you trying to say?!"
Midoriya stood up and tried to pull Bakugo down, "Kacchan, relax!"Bakugo growled and shoved him away, "Get off me, dumbass!"
I took a deep breath and stood in front of Todoroki."Y/N?" Todoroki looked at me confused.
"Tell me what's going on, now," I glared at Bakugo, my eyes piercing his soul.
I could feel the heat radiating off his body. He was getting angry, but that wouldn't stop me from getting my answers. Why would someone pull bullshit like this?
He harshly pushed my shoulder, unknowingly activating his quirk and burning the strap of my dress. I quickly grabbed the top of my dress before it could fall.
"Why so defensive, hUh?" I rolled my eyes and mocked him.Midoriya finally managed to push Bakugo away from me. He got ready to charge at me, making me stumble over the train of my dress. Todoroki pressed his hands against my waist, catching me before I could hit the ground.
"Bakugo, what is wrong with you?!"He rolled his eyes, "Fuck this," he stormed off towards the front of the building.
I moved Todoroki's hands and ran after him. He was quicker than I thought, and running in this dress was harder than I thought too. I pressed my heels down first then my toes to keep quiet.
Behind the pillar came heavy breathing and low growls. I peeked around the curve to see Bakugo punching himself.
"Ugh! Big ass mistake."I stayed hidden for a minute just listening to his angry mumbles. I felt a heavy hand on my shoulder.
"What do you think you're doing?"
I turned my head to face Bakugo who was now on the other side of me."How did... what?"
He looked annoyed, "You're not that quiet."
I smiled out of embarrassment, "So tell me, was this your doing?" I held up the invitation.
He looked to the side and snatched it out of my hand, throwing it on the ground and stepping on it."Who cares?" he grumbled.
I giggled and ruffled his hair, "Me, duh."
"Ugh, quit touching me," he snarled and moved his head.
"You know you could have asked me yourself right?" I shifted my weight onto my left foot."Whatever, it doesn't matter now."
"If you say so," I whispered and leaned closer to him.
"What the hell are yo-"
I cut him off by pressing my lips onto his. My amrs wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer. He hesitated for a moment, but finally gave in. I could feel him melt in my arms."Woo, go Kacchan!" a voice suddenly boomed out of nowhere.
I broke the kiss and saw Midoriya smiling widely in front of the others.I chuckled nervously and removed my arms. Bakugo pulled me back to him and kissed me again. His head slowly made its way to my shoulder.
"Come on let's go dance," I took his hand and followed everyone else into the room. We stood in the middle of the floor, his arms wrapped around me.
"How does this work?" he looked down at his feet and somehow still manged to step on mine.
I smiled and admired his frustrated expression.
"You're so cute," I cooed as I spun him around."Shut up and show me how to dance," he demanded.
We all spent the rest of the night teaching him the steps.
His head rested on my shoulder again. Todoroki and I maintained eye contact while we danced with out respective partners. We flashed bright smiles at each other, giving an enthusiastic thumbs up."I love you loser," I nuzzled Bakugo's neck.
"Yeah, I love you too or whatever," he replied and squeezed my arm.
