A Ray of Sunshine~ Ray x Reader

A New Beginning

Norman gave Emma a hug and kissed her on her pale cheek, you watch her cry for Norman to stay even though she knows it's not a choice.
"Take care, Emma." He says with a smile.
Ray was nowhere to be found because he couldn't bear to look at Norman when it was his last moments of living.
Then he turned to you, looking at his eyes, you knew his smile was fake... he was scared. He then gave you a warm hug lasting a few seconds when a lady, known to be the enemy,  talked with a joyful smile, which only little knew that it was an act, "Alright Norman, time to go to your new family."
Norman then whispered to your ear while hugging, "Please don't let me die in vain, stay alive...please."
A feeling of despair wrapped around you, trying to process what's going on.
Norman releases you from his hold giving both girls his smile as he turns around and walks slowly towards the door, he turns his head to look at you and Emma one more time, he smiles as he waves goodbye.
You slowly see him leaving with his brown hat on and Mama following him.

You walked to the doorway seeing Emma getting surrounded by the younger children as she hugs them goodbye.
She slowly pulls away from a hug, she turns to you. You feel all hope slowly disappearing when you see her in the same outfit as Norman when he left.
You felt tears starting to form causing you to have blurry vision then slowly streaming down your face.
You wanted to wipe your tears so she wouldn't feel any more sadness caused by you, but she ran up to you and tackled the despaired child to the ground, hugging you tight as she began to cry, "I'm so sorry, y/n. I'll miss you so much."
You just froze there, laying on the ground, mind blank. All of the memories flowing down you and yet, you can't process anything that is currently happening to you.
She slowly got off you, and grabbed your face so she could look into your eyes, "Don't forget about me, okay?" You looked down, afraid to look into her eyes, knowing that you won't see those glowing, green eyes again.
But to be honest,  those eyes are probably not glowing anymore, you don't want to have your last look of her being like this.
She suddenly said, "Please say goodbye to Ray for me, please." You hear her getting up and going toward Mama.
You sat up while watching her holding Mama's hand and leaving home.

"Bye, bye. y/n," Ray says smiling sincerely as he moves a strand of your hair behind the ear. You felt teardrops rolling down your cheeks, you tried to remain calm but your face turned to a whimpered, scared little kid, "d-don't go..." I whimpered, "I never had the chance to properly confess to you yet." He looked at you, shocked but then melted a warm smile, "Well, you can now, if it's not too late." You slowly looked at him, his eyes were beautiful. You suddenly hugged him, he stumbled a little bit but gained his balance. "I... love you." You whispered.
He grabbed your waist and pulled you back from him so he could see your face. You see him tearing up but still kept his warm smile, "I love you too, y/n." Tears started falling down his face, "Please be careful." He wiped his tears and gave you the last smile as he turned around and left with mama.

A sudden jump from your body occurred and, in panic, you sat up.

You quickly realized that what you were experiencing was a nightmare... a very traumatic nightmare.

You looked around your surroundings, a small room with a bookshelf in front of you, a nightstand next to your bed where it seated a black lamp, and your half-full sketchbook fool of random sketches. You also see from a corner of your eye, a picture that Ray took of three young kids when they still lived in the Grace Field House. There were you, Norman, and Emma in that picture with your surprised faces, not expecting Ray to take a picture of you three with a burning, bright flash.

You closed your eyes and softly chuckled to yourself.

Then you heard some rustling from the right of your ear. You slowly turned your head to see Emma sleeping peacefully, you sighed as you walked towards her bed.
