The moon sat behind the dark, distant clouds. A timber wolf howled as the moon slowly became more visible. The snow fell hard tonight above the frozen north. And there, on the very edge of the border sat an old cabin. There lived an old pony with his two grandsons, Zach and Harris. Zach and Harris lived a normal life. Doing the daily chores, plowing the snow, and collecting fire wood. Every day was the same. But today, everything was about to change...
"Gather round boys." The old pony said in his squeaky rocking chair. "Tonight I've got a story to tell."
"Ugh. Another story?" Zach asked in annoyance. He was sick of the same boring stories he told almost every night.
"Yes indeed, and It's a good one. So button up and sit down!"
Zach groaned. He knew he'd have to participate whether he liked it or not. As the two ponies sat by the fire place, he began his story.
"Once upon a time, almost 10,000 years ago, lived... an ALICORN."
"Oh boy here we go." Zach sighed.
"And this was no ordinary alicorn oh no, but the darkest, most powerful one of them all... Some rumors even say that she was the third sister of the two alicorn sisters..."
"What!?" Harris exclaimed. "No way!"
"Yes way." The old pony replied.
Zach just rolled his eyes.
"Now you might be tellen yerself, 'that's impossible. There's no such thing as a third sister, there are only two' right? Wrong. For ya see... the third sister became obsessed with power and control and turned to the dark side, and did something so terrible... so unforgivable... so evil, that the two sisters locked her away for 10,000 years as her punishment."
"Well if this third alicorn princess was so terrible why didn't we hear about it." Zach asked sarcastically. "Pretty sure she would have been mentioned in the history books."
"Ahh, that's just the thing." The old pony replied. "After she was locked away, they were so ashamed of her they burned every single thing that even acknowledged her existence. Every book, every spell, every tapestry, all gone... like she never even existed..."
"Woah!" Harris said.
"Pfft." Zach said.
"Years past, ponies eventually forgot about her, life moved on just as usual- But there's a prophecy."
"Oh boy, here we go with 'the prophecy'." Zach said gesturing his hooves sarcastically.
"What is it grandpa?" Harris asked eagerly.
"There is a prophecy, that one day after her imprisonment is finally complete, she will rise up again with her shadow army and take Equestria by storm. Stronger then Sombra, faster then Chrysalis, she will bring upon a wrath like no pony has ever seen. The sky will turn blood red, the sun will turn pitch black, and when that day comes... Well, all tartarus will break lose."
"Ohhh, so spooky" Zach said in mockery.
"No one knows where her prison is, but some say it's in these very lands in the frozen north, so you better not stay out after dark!" He said with an evil cackle.
Harris shook with fright as Zach just sat there rolling his eyes.
"Oh please." He said crossing his hooves. "Like were going to believe that story. Totally unbelievable"
"Not only that, but it's been 10,000 to the day, she should be back any day now." The old pony said in a scary voice.
"Oh brother."
