She woke up a few hours later and she got up groggily. She checked the balance on her phone and they still had a mini fortune saved up so onyx decided to go and get some furniture, or at least a TV stand and a bedside stand. Her room was big compared to some of her fellow classmates, but it was still small. As she went to walk out granite walked into the room. "where are you going?" he asked, "I'm just going to go and get some furniture." She explained "do you want to come with me?" she asked, and he did. She grabbed her wallet from the bed that she had almost forgot, and they made their way into town.

As they walked through the moon light town, granite tried to make small talk, to try and understand this new version of onyx, but onyx wasn't looking him in the eyes. "are you all right?" granite asked "yep, just thinking of so many things." She explained as they pulled up to a atm. Granite saw how much was in their savings and he asked how they were so rich. "it's surprisingly cheap to live when own your own home, have no dept and all of your water and power is renewable. Although the water for flushing the toilet is just stored in a tank from the rainwater but you already knew that." Onyx explained pulling out enough money to get a TV stand, a chair two bed side draws.

"also, I should mention that when where able to salvage a of things from the wreck, it only wrecked the bottom of the house so most of your things are fine." Granite said just remembering it. onyx gave a week smile and they entered the furniture store. Granite wondered about is he should have removed his core, but onyx didn't seem to care so he didn't either. "hey there onyx. What are you in for?" one of the workers asked, "hay Tim, how's it been?" onyx asked the worker. "it's been slow but most of the houses where fixed, so I still have a place to live and I got to keep my job." "keep it up, anyway where here for a few things. Do you know where we can find these things?" she asked of Tim handing him a list. "luckily for you we have just the things, follow me." Tim said walking off "come on granite." Onyx said grabbing granite attention and dragging him back to earth.

They followed Tim and onyx found her dream version of everything, the TV stand had slots for not only devices, but also books. The chair was a high quality swivelling chair and it was on sale, and the bed side cabinets had locks on the top two draws. "thanks Tim." She said handing him the money. "would you two like theses delivered, our delivery driver needs something to do." "Shure, can we get in the truck with him?" onyx asked, "the truck is a three seater." Tim said winking at onyx. They left for the truck when granite asked onyx something "how do you know everybody?" "I might not be to social, but I've been here for 4 years and it's a small town." Onyx explained. The car drive back was long and boring but granite got to hear what kind of music onyx listened to and it was just a bunch of theme songs from a specific video game franchise, Mr needle mouse, and he just listened along and he found them nice to listen to.

They arrived back home back they hauled everything up the stairs. They got started building the TV stand and granite was able to use his core to add in the nails without a hammer. "how are you able to do that?" onyx asked, "I can control earth, that includes metals and rocks." He explained as they placed the TV on the stand. She placed her games and book on the shelf, and she placed her console with its charger on the table as well, she found her older consoles and she put them down with what games survived the explosion. "thank you." Onyx said hugging granite "for what?" granite asked, "for everything." Onyx responded

After some readjustments it became obvious to onyx that school was around the corner. "I'm heading out, I need to get the last things for school!" she yelled up the stairs. "I don't know why you still insist on going back, you where home schooled last time." Aqua argued. "no offence aqua, but biology isn't everything and it'll help me feel more normal then I currently do." She responded as she existed the house. As she made her way further away from the house, she unleashed the speed core and she ran to town in record time. She was keeping it a secret from the others as she didn't quite know what the response would be.

"you two ready to go and get our school equipment?" she asked enthusiastically. "I don't think I've ever seen you so enthusiastic about school before." Gwen said "it's just a way for me to feel more normal then I do. Don't get me wrong being able to manipulate gravity is fun, but it's tiering and I'm ready for some structure." Onyx explained. "I just want to be out of the house." Ted said as they entered the store. Looking around onyx found a journal that had a design that stood out to her. It was grey and had two orbs with multiple lines connecting them. DR Johnstone did suggest she keep a diary or something similar, so she decided she was going to get it. she placed it in her basket, and she moved on.

While she was looking around ted and Gwen went off looking for their own things. "I like these." She said looking at some gel pens. "can we move this along, all I have enough for is like 5 pens, and some paper." Ted said. Gwen looked at him with empathy and asked him to pick something out. "are you really going to do that for me?" he asked more confused than anything. "you're my friend now, of course I would, besides you've come quite far in the past two months." Gwen said giving him a smile. "thanks blondie." He responded looking at all the options he had. Onyx was still looking around when she bumped into someone. "sorry, I should have been looking where I was going." She apologised not looking to who she had knocked over with herself.

"you should have." Responded the girl who had been knocked down. To onyx's horror their stood the only person who had managed to not be in town in the first two weeks during and after the incident, Charlie. She was wearing shorts and a crop top, and her hair was a clean brown. Being the leader of the girls' sports team, she was able to get away with more than she should have, and it allowed her to pick on the two weakest girls in their school. "what the hell happened to you." Charlie asked after giving onyx a closer look. "it's a skin condition that the incident brought out from me." Onyx responded. "I can't believe your even more of a freak then before." She said in her narcissistic tone.

"look I don't want everything to happen, can I just grab my things and move on?" she asked already knowing that Charlie was going to try and start a fight. "no, you're going to get what you deserve." Charlie said swinging a punch at onyx. Onyx's shield formed Infront of her taking them both off guard. The sound of the hit attracted a lot of people in the store, Gwen and Ted included. "dam it Charlie, back down." Ted commanded of Charlie. "you know, when I heard that you were friends with these two, I thought everybody was trying to reck your representation, but now... it's just sad." Ted looked ready to knock Charlie out, but Gwen stopped him. "come on, you've been doing so well. Don't mess it up." Gwen asked of him.

Onyx broke from her shock and got up. "where do you think you're going?" Charlie asked, "away from you, you're not worth my time." Onyx said disappearing into the crowd as she grabbed her basket and her things. "that's not something I'm looking forward to when we go back to school." Onyx remarked as she paid and the other two did so. "so, what now?" ted asked, "now we go and get food, I'm starving." Gwen said as her stomach growled. So, they did and afterwards everybody chatted "thanks for this, ben would have never done me." Ted thanked ted and onyx. "it's no problem, besides those guys would have ditched you at the first chance if you ever showed a soft side." Gwen said, "they did." Onyx reminded Gwen. "well, I have to head back now." Ted said looking at his old and cracked phone "me too." Gwen said looking at her phone. They split up and all headed back to their own houses.

On the way onyx took her time to check where the green beast one was, and it still hadn't returned. When she arrived, she didn't enter the house, instead she entered the hole that lead to the underground bunker. When she arrived, she placed the speed core down on a bench and from the draws she pulled out the communicator and she stared her work on trying to fix it. she plugged in the soldering iron and plugged in her phone to it and made a start.
