Electric Emotion (Denki x Reader)

Hey, don't do it please! (Chapter 1)

As I stood there on the roof of the building I wondered if anyone would care if I jumped.

The sun was setting and I could feel a slight breeze. It was around 8:00 and I knew that if I went back home now I would get beaten. My father has abused me since I was 7 years old. He started drinking a lot since my mother died.

I don't have any friends, I took 1 step closer to the edge as I heard the door leading to the roof open.

I just stayed there too scared to move until I felt eyes staring at me. "Hey, don't do it please!" I heard a young male say. I finally decided to turn around. He was young probably about the same age as me, he had yellow hair and a black lightning bolt through it.

I felt warm tears start to fall down my face and took another step towards the edge, I was so close that if I took another step I would fall. The young male slowly came closer to me so we were only a few feet apart.

He hesitated for a second before saying "Please come away from the edge" his golden eyes begging me to step away. I reluctantly took a step towards him. Much to my surprise he quickly took a step forward and pulled me towards him and engulfed me in a bear hug.

I could hear his heart beating as he tightend the hug. It was really weird to have random stranger hug me after I tried to commit suicide but I didn't mind. He pulled back, no longer being able to feel the warmth of his body he looked at me and I used my quirk to tell that he was sad.

I didn't necessarily need my quirk to figure that out because you could tell from the look in his eyes. "Why- .....Why did you stop me" was all I managed to say. The male looked at me as if I was an idiot before responding "Why would you want to die?" I could feel even more tears coming down my cheeks.

After explaining everything to him

"That's horrible..." was all he managed to say after I told him. I don't know why but I felt safe around him, I felt like I could trust him. I knew it sounded stupid so I tried to not think about it.

"Oh my God, I completely forgot to introduce myself, I'm Denki Kaminari. My quirk is electrification and I really want to go UA and become a hero!" He exclaimed. Denki Kaminari, cute name.

"My name is Y/N L/N and my quirk is called Emotion. I can sense other people's emotions and I can control them. I used to want to be a hero but I gave up on that dream a few years ago."

"You should enroll at UA, I bet you would be an amazing hero!" He beamed. It did give me a little hope, but I figured he was just trying to make me feel better.

"Maybe." I mumbled. "Hey L/N it's getting late do you want me to walk you home?" Kaminari asked. "I don't really want to go back to my house right now." I said refusing to look him in the eye.

"Oh, right. Sorry, I forgot. How about you stay at my place for the night?" I could feel my cheeks getting slightly red and nodded my head.
