Soulmates

Chapter 1

Yamaguchi's POV:

Today is September 27 Tsukki's 16th birthday. I'm super excited! I have the perfect gift for him. I bought him a giant dinosaur plush that I saw him looking at when we passed it in the store. I hope he likes it. I also baked him a strawberry short cake that I remade almost 12 times last night.

I am currently on the way to his house to pick him up to go to school. We have volleyball practice today but after that I am going to invite him over to my house so we can celebrate his birthday together. I'm going to ask him if he can help me with homework though so it's a surprise. It is a Friday so he can even spend the night and not worry about school the next day.

'If he comes over, we will have cake and he will open his presents and we will talk and try to meet his soulmate. Oh right, he will be able to talk to his soulmate now. I hop...'

"Yamaguchi" I got cut off by Tsukishima now realizing that I had reached his house.

"Oh, hey Tsukki. Happy birthday!" I say with joy as I return from my thoughts. He seems to have no reaction as he puts on his headphones and starts walking to school. I follow behind him while talking to myself about things I have planned for later.

*time skip to after school volleyball practice*

Still Yamaguchi POV:

We started warming up for practice but I kind of got distracted because I was thinking about how to ask Tsukki about the sleepover tonight. I was so distracted that I got hit in the face with a ball and fell to the floor. It didn't really hurt but it defiantly scared me. When I opened my eyes again, I saw everyone crowded around me asking if I was okay. I told everyone I was fine and we started practicing again.

*time skip to after practice*

Yam's POV:

As we were all getting changed, I turned to Tsukki to ask him if he could come over but froze when I saw him in only his boxers. I seemed to have lost my voice and just stared at his muscular back.

Suddenly I was up against him. Shoving him into the lockers. I had been shoved in the back causing me to be shoved into Tsukishima. I immediately jumped away blushing. Looking behind me to see why I was pushed. It was Hinata who hit me on accident because him and Kageyama were fighting.

Hinata stopped fighting with Kageyama and started apologizing to me. I forgave him and turned to Tsukki to apologize. He just nodded and continued to change.

After we finished changing, we started to walk home like we usually do. As Tsukki and I separated from the rest of the team I decided this would be the best time to ask him to come over.

Tsukki had his headphones on so I would have to first get his attention. I slowly gained the courage to tap Tsukki on the shoulder. He stopped and turned to me taking off his headphones.

"What is it Yamaguchi?" Tsukishima asked with a bored expression.

"Um... well... I was wondering if you could over and help me with my homework? I'm Kinda struggling with some of the English vocab that's on the test next week."

He responds with a curt nod and starts to walk again.
