My head whipped up so fast I'm surprised I didn't break my own neck. "What did you say?" Looking at the older Alpha looking at me with such a puzzled expression. " I'm Alpha Thompson. I'm one of your neighboring packs as well as your parents' closest ally. We were friends before they died. I remember when you were born. I was there that day doing business with your father about rogues that had been plaguing both of our borders." I couldn't help but sit there shocked" I-I-I Don't know what to say? I don't really know much about them except for a little bit about what happened on the day they died. Even that is not much though it's enough to piece together enough to know my mom tried to do the best for me and my dad died in the hospital after she passed." He nodded "yeah i got the news would you like to sit down and I can tell you a bit about that day." Nodding I followed him to the kitchen table linking Erin that I wouldn;t be in my room in case he needed me. Then giving my full attention to Alpha Thompson he nodded and went on to tell me about the day that lead me to losing both my parents." Your parents loved you very much I don't really know how the attack started or why it started. All I do know is that that day started like any other day for us. You're parents called to ask about the acquiring rouge problem like every other week nothing new had happened. Only for a couple hours later for their Beta to call me and tell me that they are under attack. Rouges where everywhere and many pack members had already died. After rounding up my warriors to come help it had been too late your parents were already dead. My best friends were dead and their little girl was gone, no one could find her. I searched for you for years hoping to find you I also took in all of your parents pack members that survived the attack. Trying to keep their pack together incase you ever came back and wanted to take your rightful place as their Alpha like your parents wanted you to.'' He looked at me with such happiness in his eyes, I smiled at him And told him all that had happened after the attack on my part including being adopted by my human mother. " I think you're mother would have loved her. She sounds like an amazing smart and kind woman an im happy that someone like her became your mother. You said that werewolves broke into your home when you were a toddler and left a note?" I nodded "yeah they also tore up the house my mom said that it looked like they were searching for me pretty hard." He looked lost in thought as he thought about what we had talked about. "By chance does your mom still have the note? Maybe i can get a scent of who it was or if it was a pack or not." I nodded and texted my mother asking her about the note and if she still had it and to try and not let anyone touch it till I get back. Setting my phone down I told him I will tell him later if she has the letter still or not. He nodded and said we could talk more later I walked back to my room thinking about everything i just learned. Finding Erin sitting in my room that waiting on my return " Find the answers that you needed?" I smiled at him and sat down on my bed with my head in my hands" Yes and No I got some of the answers that i needed but also more questions now as well. The main one is why? Why did someone want to kill them, what could they possibly have or have done that would warrant someone to kill them?" He nodded yeah I figured that But now you have someone that could help you answer those questions right? I laughed " Yeah i guess the members from the original pack are at his. So we may be expecting more members which may be a problem depending on whether or not their expecting to go back to their original home. It's a good thing we kept all remaining items in the homes stored and organized from which house they came from. As the days of the summit wore on it was pretty much boring making new acquaintances and possible allies I started noticing that more and more people were less aggressive with both me and Erin. Looking like I wouldn't have to face any challenges at the end of the summit either. With there only being two days left. From what Alpha connor had told me about the last day was that if anyone had a reason or didn't think i was worth my title they could challenge me for it and have rights to my pack. I had hoped with people becoming more friendly towards me that I wouldn't have to face any but I knew at least one person would always be a challenger for the newcomers. And just because I'm a female it wouldn't be any different. Both me and Erin had trained for this If I died or lost the Fight Erin could challenge the winner for the right to be Alpha. Erin is incredibly dangerous and extremely strong almost as strong as i am if he wanted to he could have been an Alpha. But he doesn't do well on dealing with people among other things. Which is one of the reasons he wanted to be Beta. He's in charge of the warriors and training. While i'm in charge of the people and their wellbeing and happiness. Together we are a badass team some of the pack members think that we will eventually get married but we both agreed that it probably wasn't for the best. We are two completely different people.
