The repetitive morning ended when my parents left for work. I had already told them that I had to go to school for a club activity.

I stood in front of my closet, a white shirt and pale blue skirt in my hand.

"Can I come with you?" Amber asked as she scrolled through her laptop.

"You will be bored. And I don't know if I am allowed to bring a non member." I made excuses and turned to her. "Nice top. Bad Flower is a pretty great band." I commented on her oversized black band tee.

"You like them too? Looks like we are soulmates." She put aside her device. "Do you want to wear it? It would look pretty good with that skirt." She walked past me and pulled out a black skirt.

"Guess I have a personal stylist now." I laughed and put back my picks.

"Glad to be of service." She pressed the skirt against me and I held it while she pulled up her tee. My immediate response was to turn away and close my eyes. She giggled while she put the tee over my face and pushed me into the bathroom.

The door closed with a soft thud and I opened my eyes. Shaking off the shock, I got into the clothes and looked at my reflection.

Grabbing the comb, I untied my hair and combed through it. I walked out and posed for a hoodie wearing Amber who shouted words of encouragement at me.

"I think I have something to make this look better." I said while leaning over my desk, messing up my drawers.

"You look perfect already." She spoke while leaning against the wall.

I held up a glossy black lipstick component and opened it to reveal a deep red coloured bullet. "There's no look that can't be improved with a little red lipstick."

"You literally look like Nancy. But with longer hair." She said as she coloured my lips red.

"I would chop off my hair to look like her but I feel like my parents won't be too pleased with that." I looked into a small mirror on the wall and posed.

"We are the weirdos, mister." Amber put her head on my shoulder looked at my reflection.

"Is it too much?" My voice was laced with nervousness.

"Nancy would never say that." She whispered while I patted my lips to diffuse the colour.

"I wish I could be as confident as her." I said under my breath. "I'll be late if I don't hurry. I'll be home by four." I hugged her tightly before running down.

"I'll be waiting!" She yelled as I opened the front door. I smiled and closed the door.

Humming a tune in a low voice, I felt the air slipping through my hair while I skipped across the concrete footpath.

I reached the door and rang the bell. "Good morning Dr.Lee!" I bowed when she opened the door.

"Good morning! Taemin is upstairs, honey." She stepped aside and led me in. I hopped up the stairs and knocked on the door while a soft tune spilled through the door.

"You're early!" He dragged me in and locked the door behind him. The speaker was filling the room in a clam steady beat. "Did you dress to match my emo vibes?" He asked as he ran his hand through his sleek combed back hair, messing it up.

With a long sleeved black tee shirt tugged into a form fitting pair of ripped jeans and a red flannel tied around his waist, he looked ready to shoot an album cover for his hypothetical indie band. A deep burgundy colour tinted his lips and cheeks, making him look exceptionally aesthetic.

"You are just a walking magazine cover." I told him while taking one of the plushies. I held it like a baby and patted its head.

"I know." He tugged his messed hair behind his ear and grabbed a tiny tube from his table and squeezed out a pea sized ball of burgundy pigment. "You are not wearing enough makeup to match my look though." He walked up to me and made me pout by holding me by the cheeks.

With a careful eye, he applied the colour onto my lips. I held back my laughter as he inched closer to inspect the colour distribution. "Perfect!" He brushed the excess onto my cheeks and winked at me with a satisfied smile.

I looked over a mirror nearby and smiled. "I mean ... I look good." I flipped my hair.

"You always do, babe." He said and ruffled my hair.

"Oh, oh, did you get my email? Did you like it?" I asked as I sat down on his bed.

"It's awesome!" He declared while he grabbed his laptop. "I loved that part with the wine talk. Where did you even get that from?" Sitting down, he opened it.

"I just watched a few wine talk vlogs before writing it so I thought it would be cool to add that in." I pushed the plushie onto him.

"Nice touch. But the last line was lacklustre. I expected him to say something grand but it didn't hit that point." He pointed out while pulling it up on screen. "Right there."

"Right. I didn't know what to do so it's just ... meh. Do you have any ideas for it?" I asked him.

"Not right now. But let's brainstorm." His eyes sparkled with excitement.
