Authors Note: So recently, I am becoming a "MaiMai" master, so I'm going to writing my own experiences with people that are not so good at this game so... hope you like it!
It was just another day at the arcade - random noises, lots of people, amazing games. When I was going to play MaiMai, I saw these marines trying to play Advanced mode with two people. After they were done, I asked if I could play the game with them, and they said "Sure!" So, we inserted our coins, and we didn't have to go through the tutorial, since they were playing it a minute ago. When we got to the song selection, I asked them if they wanted to chose, but they didn't know any of the songs. The first one I chose was "Grip & Breakdown!" by Sound Holic (It is one of my favorite Japanese songs.) I could go to expert mode on that, so the guy next to me wanted to try it too. When we started, I could make perfect sense of what I was doing, and I could notice that the guy next to me was kind of getting it. About a quarter way throughout the song though, he was just pressing random buttons while I was beastmoding him. After the song, I got a really good score; about a 98%. When I looked at the guy next to me, he nearly got a 60%, and unlocked master mode. The marines had to go by then, so I just did it by myself. When it started, I was confident I would do good, but when the first play came, I was just clicking what I could keep up with. At the end, I got a 60%, which is pretty good for a first run. But in the future, I WILL get at least an 85%, and be the youngest player who has ever beaten master mode in the game.
