The door to the little room opened, with a familiar face poking out.
" It's time; let's go. " Outbreak said with an emotionless voice.
" Ok. " She answered.
" I know. "
Silence overcame them as Outbreak gave them uniforms they never wanted to wear.
They helped each other put on their black uniforms as they heard marching from upstairs.
" I've got the weapons in the bag; hold them as if they were the last reason to live. " Outbreak said as he walked away with a straight face.
They made their way to the auditorium, a dark old place with only the outside lighting the view.
A surprising face entered the place; his footsteps echoed as he made his way to the podium; next to him was a younger man with a muscular build and large bread.
" Morning. " Captain Wolfgang said as he looked down, with everyone catching a bad feeling from this.
" Some of you have been assigned ceremonial duties, but we'll also need soldiers on crowd control. " Captain Ortega said with a sigh.
" We can't go home due to the ever-growing violence in Nevada, we decided to pay respects here, but I chose my two speakers already. " Captain Wolfgang exclaimed.
" We will not do a mandatory roll call of over 200 soldiers; it would take too much time, fill up each row on the left and vice versa. '' Captain Ortega said as his soldiers quickly obeyed.
After a short while, four green armored vehicles stopped in front of the building.
The doors opened as a family of four walked towards the doors.
Oracle's six units followed them, equipped with giant machine guns and heavy armor.
Some more officials hopped out with the private military protecting them.
The doors opened to the two captains, with their hats off, facing them down on their chests, with everyone doing the same.
Goliath and Sasha sat next to the mourning family, the captains, and the contractors.
The family seemed to be trying to fight off the tears, shaking with a look of sadness.
It was time for the speeches, with a teenager in a black dress walking up the podium.
" My father was dedicated to his comrades; I remember how long I waited for him to return. "
She began to sob, clearing her throat.
" He always told me that if the world wanted to take him out, tell all the boys that light bulbs burn out. '' She said as she came down from the stage.
Attention turned back to the captains as Outbreak spoke into the microphone.
" This world is not dead but rather sick; we fight today for tomorrow's cure; our fallen are to be remembered and fought for; that is how we will one day find an antidote to the sickness. " He said in a hoarse voice.
Sasha got up and walked towards that podium, becoming nervous of the prying eyes, giving a speech she'd rather not have to offer.
" This was never meant to be; ignorance is trampled by reality, yet, I will honor their bravery for the rest of my life. " Sasha said, walking back to her seat.
Goliath walked to the podium, readjusting the microphone, letting out a single tear.
" When I joined the forts, I knew I was lost, but Jenny and Gary accepted me, so thank you both. " He said as he went back to sit beside Sasha.
