It was late and not like only six or something but like ten, and I was starting to panic you know. I was at that guy's home, I guess, though not the pillar room but a normal looking abnormally clean room. I had an assignment due the next day and I was only a quarter way done. Well done me, very well done.

"So sorry to have worried you. Thank you for taking care of me. And I will get going now." I started mumbling.

"Let me take you home!" He suddenly calls out.

"Oh its fine, thank you, you don't need to; but wait where am I anyway? Why isn't there any door here?" By that time I had started to be more aware of my surrounding.

"Its at the other side."

And we were suddenly falling from the pillar room.

I woke up with a gasp and I was back on my nice and comfy bed in my, kind of messy room. Since it was bright already I woke up early for once. But nevermind I just went back to sleep since it was weekend. For a moment I thought it was Monday. Games are wonderful, I played them all day.

The next day, you don't even have to guess by now, on one of the lessons the professor was absent but Mr. Dave or Dave, whatever, came as a substitute. Why is there a substitute in college? We didn't have one in high school. But anyway we were left to do things on our own. I had a few questions that I meant to ask on the last session so I went ahead and asked. He seemed a little distracted looking at a group of guys every now and then. They were being loud shouting random numbers, maybe that was why. At one time he suddenly got up and went towards them, snatched some paper whatever they were writing, crumpled it up and threw it. Whatever happened they were scared enough to wet their pants. His mood did seem to have changed that time but by the time he returned he was back to his sweet, smiling face. Even if it was for a moment the intimidating aura was prominent. He was different and it was kind of scary.

"Shimmer, can I talk to you for a moment?" He said kind of seriously at the end of the lesson.

"Uh..sure." I was confused but feeling the seriousness in his voice I went along with him.

When outside he said, "Please be careful of the guys that I went towards today. And tell your female friends to do the same."

"Why, what happened? Did they do something serious? Are they....uhh....dangerous?" It was turning into something more serious than I thought and it worried, no, sacred me very much.

"I suppose you could say that. Those guys are the kind who do whatever they please and don't know the weight of their actions. So please be careful." After saying that those guys were bad news in a very subtle manner, he left. Just what did those guys write in that paper getting him so worked up like that.

When I went back inside I relayed everything to Lynette and she went into this deep thinking mode, staring at the pen on the table like she was making a life or death choice.

"Sorry Shimmer! I really want to go with you today, specially after hearing what he said but I can't. I need to go visit my grandfather in the hospital. You really need to up your game now okay? Remember the stare; death stare like don't you dare look at me or I'll kill you stare or the I am honestly very pissed and get lost before I see you suffer stare I told you..."

"Now now Lynette, relax, calm down. I can take care of myself. We are adults, I do have my own ways to defend myself. Anyway thank you for the advice."

"Do you remember how to make an effective and intimidating stare?"

"Yes, yes...remember the moment when I was angry like really pissed off and just wanted to act out violence in its worst way possible and channel that feeling back into your heart until you re-feel it. Once that burning sensation of anger comes back into you being angry is not difficult. And once you are angry, strike the power pose, or lets be real walk in the power pose(confidence pose) and look into the eyes and staaarrreeee...see? I remember. Keep the phone at ready to call anyone and the whole body is a weapon. From nails to teeth to any part that can move. And run for your life after disabling them for even a moment. You can rest easy, I know that much(though if I could use it practically still remains a question)."

"Fine but whenever you try the stare, you look just look like a pufferfish and it might not make it look threatening. Just try to take command okay?"

"All right, alright, geez you really think that I am a kid, don't you?"

Later that day, before the classes were over Lynette got a call about the demise of her grandfather and rushed to the hospital early. Well, since I was closed with Lynette I really had neglected my social life. I needed to make some acquaintances and perhaps even friends for times like these though being alone is not half bad. Ahhh.. if only I did not know of those shits of guys. They say ignorance is bliss and I strongly agree. Had that information not been disclosed I would have been living a simple, ignorant, peaceful life. Now all that has filled my head was the imminent level of threat posed by those guys.

Once the classes were over, curiosity killed the cat they say but still I could not hold it back, I went and took out the crumpled piece of paper from the bin and I finally knew what had been happening then and there.
