"Deep into that darkness peering,

long I stood there, wondering, fearing,

doubting, dreaming dreams no

mortal ever dared to dream before."

"The legend states that the crescent red moon is only sighted once a year when the heat of the summer dies down and the smell of autumn leaves and pumpkin spice lattes fills the atmosphere in a frenzy, it is said that the red moon appears only for a few seconds and then it disappears into the darkness of the night leaving no trace behind as if it wasn't there in the first place but the scary part is that it is said that whoever looks at it or even catches a glimpse of it will forever be cursed with years of bad luck and suffering....some people have also gone missing just because they were at the wrong place at the wrong time." The oldest son of the kim's said while maintaining eye contact with his little brother and his cousins who were circled around the bonfire.

Six year old Kim Taehyung was one of those children who just happened to hear the old legend that was always told to the younger kids as a reminder/warning to never make the same mistake as their cursed ancestors did.

Taehyung's lower lip wobbled as he looked at his older brother-kim Donghyun, who was ten years older than Taehyung himself before a big fat tear rolled down his chubby cheek and he started wailing and crying for his mother.

The rest of the children weren't in any different state as they too felt as if something was gonna grab them from the dark woods behind their rented cabin and take them away to the darkest pits of hell.

"Donghyun! what did you do this time?" said Mrs.kim as she came rushing outside and immediately lifted her crying child in her arms and rubbed a soothing hand up and down Taheyung's back in order for him to calm down.

"M-mommy hyung w-was telling us about spooky stories." Taehyung said while sniffling and burying his face in his mother's neck.

Mrs.kim glared at her older son but said nothing before telling all the children to retrieve back inside the cabin before it got too cold outside.

"You could have told the story without scaring them half to death you know." Mrs.kim scolded Donghyun after tucking Taehyung to sleep.

"But mom they need to know about the curse our family has suffered from through all these centuries." he protested.
