The Trainee

“Holly, class is over… and you will be serving detention once again, for falling asleep in my class!” Mrs. Victor yelled.

“Maybe if your class wasn’t so boring.” I yawned grabbing my book bag from the floor, throwing it over my shoulder.

“Missy, that attitude of yours just earned you another detention.”

“Oh joy, more time I get to spend with you, how wonderful!”

“Enough, be on your way miss. Peter.”

“If you insist.” I grabbed my two detention slips and exited the class room, into the full halls.

“Holly Peter’s to my office please.”

“Joy… day keeps getting better.” I turned towards the office…

   “What’d you do now?”Ryan asked.

“Good question… but hey got two more detentions from Victor again…”I yawned.

“Oh my god, look it’s Zack!” Ryan smiled.

“What do you see in that guy, he’s the biggest douche ever?”

   “Is not Holly.”

“Sure whatever you say got to go... see you in 7th period.”

“See ya.” She smiled walking in the opposite direction. I opened the office door. The secretary groaned. Pointing to the chairs.

“Nice to see you too.” I chuckled sitting in the chair.

“Enough with the attitude Holly, it just gets you in trouble.”

“But, if I didn’t get in trouble I would never see you!” I teased.

“Just sit there and Be quite Miss. Peter’s.”

“It’s Holly.” I hissed. She continued typing on the keyboard.

“Holly… please come this way please.” I smiled standing up from the chair…walking into his office.

“Hey Mr. Paulson.” I smiled sitting in the chair across his desk.

“Holly this is your fifth time in my office this week and its Tuesday.”

   “And your point is.”

“Holly, do you know what your grades happen to be?”

   “Uhm, nope.” I smiled.

“Holly… what do you want to do after you graduate.”

   “Designer.”

“Well, dear you need to get your grades up.”

   “And if I don’t.”

“Fine, I will make you a deal… You do volunteer work, and I can get your grades to at least a passing grade point average. Sound good?”

   “Ugh… fine.” I groaned.

“Holly it’s for the best.” He sighed.

“Fine… Mr. Paulson… what do I have to do.”

“I will have the information given to you at the end of the day… now get to forth period. And pay attention please.”

“No promises.” I winked standing up and exiting the principles’ office. “Nice to see you again!” I smiled leaning onto the secretary’s desk.
