CHAPTER 4 — °[ 3rd person pov ]
there he sat once again, alone by the side of the school building staring up at the sky with his gunmetal eyes once again so mysteriously. he has been thinking about it all day yesterday. what did
[l/n] mean by friendship? was she just like every other girl who called any acquaintance a friend or did she want to become friends with him?to akaashi, [l/n] was just a big ball of mystery that he was so intrigued by for some reason.
he was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice the [e/c]ed girl slowly creeping around the corner to see the black haired male once again like they did yesterday.
"akaashi-san?" the girl suddenly spoke up immediately snapping the 2nd year setter out of his thoughts as he snapped his head towards the voice's direction.
"oh you startled me, [l/n]-san." he replied softly as a small giggle left the [h/c]ed female's lips.
there it was again. that weird feeling in his chest. it only happens around [l/n], no one else. he's never felt this way with his teammates or his family. he had no idea what this feeling was yet he wanted to know more about it.
to know why he felt this way only around her, to know why he remembered her and why she's standing there in front of him at this very moment.
"is this spot taken?" [l/n] asked with a gentle smile on her face as akaashi look up at her figure.
the boy gulped as he slowly shook his head and scooted over, motioning her to sit down beside him. just like how they met yesterday.
______
this repeated every single day. it became a regular part of their school routine. the two of them went to school, waited for the first 3 periods to pass and then they'd meet up by the side of the school and talked to each other. the two of them became closer and closer as each day passed.
of course the closer they got, the more their relationship changed. from passing each other in the halls without acknowledging their presence to walking down the halls together while conversing between each other, though [l/n] did most of the talking.
since there was such a big change in their relationship in such a short period of time, it was inevitable that people were going to start talking and of course, akaashi's teammates were also informed in the sightings of the two 2nd years together.
"have you guys heard about akaashi and [l/n]-san?" konoha asked his teammates as they stood in a small group to the side of the gym as everyone was wiping their sweat and drinking water.
"[l/n]-san? ive seen them walk down the halls together and hanging out with each other. i wonder if they're dating." sarukui added as all the boys began to conspire different theories that could be the reasoning behind their 2nd year setter's relationship with the girl.
"you boys! what are you guys talking about?" yukie suddenly called out to the small group of boys as they all snapped their heads in their manager's direction.
"we were just talking about akaashi and [l/n]." washio replied with a stoic expression on his face as the rest of the boys immediately started to panic, not wanting it to look like they were gossiping about their 2nd year. (which they were.)
