"So, what? You're here to kill me?" He asked.
She shook her head.
"No. I want a truce." She said simply. His eyes widened.
"You... what..." He said slowly, trying to process what he had just been told.
"I want a truce." She said again, her eyes lightening.
"Have you spoke to Slenderman about this?" He asked and she shook her head again.
"I thought I'd speak to you, first. Given that I'm the only person that you can have a decent conversation with, without bloodshed." This made him laugh and she smiled.
"Very true, my dear niece. Very true." He nodded in agreement and she smiled.
"Well...?" She said softly, her voice was loosing all traces of the strong demeanour.
"Speak to Slenderman." He said with a shrug.
She rolled her eyes but nodded regardless.
She walked out and met the others by the portal. They were content and covered in blood.
"I need to speak to Slenderman." Hayley said bluntly.
They all walked through the portal and Hayley stumbled.
She managed to stay standing and walked to Slenderman's office.
She knocked softly and the doors opened.
When he wasn't there, she climbed down to the secret office.
He looked up from his paperwork and tilted his head.
"I have a proposal." She said, her voice was soft but firm.
"Go on." He replied.
"A truce, between the two sides. Us and him."
"Hmmm... I mean, it would stop the continuous fighting." Slenderman mused.
"And Trenderman won't be paranoid." Hayley remarked, a smirk on her face.
"Very well, you may let him know." He said, turning his attention back to his work.
She walked to the portal, once more, and used her magic to change her clothes. She walked through the portal and headed to her uncle's office. She eventually found it and gently knocked.
"Come in." Zalgo said and she walked in slowly. His office was unusually messy, paperwork and posters were strewn about, pens and crimson highlighters were scattered across his desk, and there he sat, head in his hands. She wrapped her arms around him tightly and he rested his head on her shoulder.
She played with his hair gently and finally broke down his walls. As blood tears ran down his face, she took his hand in hers gently.
"What happened?" Hayley asked, and he sighed.
"Someones gone missing." He said quietly.
She stroked his head gently and he leant into her touch.
"Want me to look? Who was it." Hayley was full of questions, and Zalgo knew that she wanted to help.
"Voila." His voice broke.
She patted his shoulder, caringly.
"I'll look for her, don't worry."Hayley took off, running.
"Viola?! Viola?! Where are you?!" She called.
'Fuckin' Vio. why did you stray so far..?' Hayley thought as she continued looking.
Voila hugged her tightly.
"Help... me..." She said weakly.
Viola's clothes were torn and she was bleeding.Hayley caught her, before she had the chance to fall.
She teleported to Zalgo and he went quickly to help her.
"What the fuck, happened to her??" He asked and Hayley shrugged.
"That's not important now. What's important, is that she's alive." She said, glaring at him.
Hayley found the source of the curse inside of herself and gripped it, her eyes turned to forest green and a pale green energy surrounded her.
She poured the energy into Viola. The energy created blood, and the blood kept her alive. Hayley healed the wounds with the energy, her strength was mixing with hope, her hope with sorrow and her sorrow with anger.
The energy that surrounded her, faded and she picked up Viola. Hayley carried Viola to her room, and laid her down.
She went back to Zalgo, and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"She should wake up in a few hours." She said, her voice was soft.
He nodded to her, and she headed out of the office and towards the exit portal.
She walked through it and stumbled.
She hadn't realised how much energy she used to heal Viola, but felt strong arms wrap around her.
She weakly looked up, to see Bloody Painter with his mask on, looking down at her.
"You okay?" He asked, guiding her back to the mansion.
"Y-yeah... Just used a lot of energy I g-guess." Hayley spluttered, as the warmth of the mansion hit her.
He guided her to the sofa and sat her down.
"You should eat something." Bloody Painter said to her and Hayley bit her lip.
"Fine." She said at last and Painter nodded.
"Good girl." He said with a smile.
Though she couldn't see it, Hayley could hear the smile in his voice.
He made her, her favourite sandwich and she smiled.
"Thanks!" Hayley exclaimed, her pale face, lighting up.
He sat beside her and she slowly ate.
When she finished, she placed her plate on the oak coffee table and rested her head on Painter's knee.
He played with and ran his fingers through her long, copper hair, making her tension drift away.
Hayley fell asleep to a soft tune being hummed; Pop goes the weasel. Laughing Jack.
