Tee looked around the room groggily. His eyelids fluttered a few times before opening wide in shock. He looked around the place again to realize that he being in Tae's house was not a dream but a reality. He stumbled out of the bed and ran out of the room without any second thoughts. He descended the stairs in hurry and opened the door to Copter's room.
Tee let out a long relieved sigh seeing Copter sleeping peacefully on a cozy bed, under soft blankets. He reached Copter's bed and sat near him without making any noise. He caressed Copter's hair feeling guilty for the first time in his life. Seeing Copter curled up under the warmth of the duvet, made Tee realize where Copter should actually be. Of course, he had given every possible luxury to Copter all these years. But...
'Copgi deserves the best of everything in his life. He shouldn't be running around the world with me. He deserves a home and I have done nothing but steal him off the opportunity to build a family', Tee thought sadly.
As if sensing the elder's worries, Copter squirmed in his sleep and scooted closer to Tee. Tee smiled at the adorable kid and stood up from the bed without disturbing his sleep. He adjusted the duvet on Copter and turned around to find Tae leaning against the door frame and looking at them with a coffee mug in his hand.
Tae had seen how Tee came running down the stairs to check on Copter. He could feel something stir in his heart whenever he saw Tee being too attentive to Copter. Tae was not actually jealous. Not at all. Okay, may be a little. But more than jealousy, he felt a deep longing that Tee didn't come looking for him the same way. Tae brushed aside his silly feelings and faced Tee with a stern look.
"Feeling guilty?", Tae asked calmly.
"Why should I feel guilty?", Tee walked past Tae, hiding his feelings efficiently.
Tae followed Tee out of the room while Tee closed the door carefully.
"For ruining a child's life", Tae said taking in the bloodshot eyes and tired face of Tee.
It was obvious that Tee hadn't slept well the previous night and Tae's intention was not to hurt Tee first thing in the morning. But he wanted Tee to realize that dragging Copter along with him was wrong and he had indeed made Copter his accomplice, even if Copter wasn't directly involved in his scams. Tee understood what Tae meant by his words but he was not ready to admit his mistakes yet.
"Should I call you clueless for talking about someone without knowing them?", Tee asked sarcastically repeating Tae's words from the previous night.
"Or maybe you can explain and I will try to understand", Tae said in the same cool tone.
Tee ignored Tae's words and started to walk up the stairs, when he noticed a middle aged women cooking in the kitchen.
"Who is she?", Tee asked stopping abruptly.
Tae looked towards the kitchen and smiled.
"She is Mrs. Song. She comes here to cook and clean", Tae said waving his hand towards the woman, "P'Song, this is Tee"
"Good morning, Sir. Nice to meet you", Song bowed down politely with a bright smile.
