The Metazoa Family owned a manor in a very bustling city. They were renowned as great advocates in charity and the economy. Until a tragedy has occurred to them, that it took their joy and kindness away. Haru is a kind, sweet boy; Haru may not be as smart or sophisticated as his brother, but Haru has a big heart for all things. Haru has been neglected by his brother and father all his life, except for his mother. Her mother was deemed crazy by the townsfolk and by Haru's brother and father. Some say that she can see beyond the limitations of the human eyes. Haru did not mind these rumors even his mother paid no heed to these.

(The Story)
The sun shone on the manor of the Metazoa family, meaning their day will begin. Haru's mother ought to call his father, his brother, and him to breakfast. Father would not mind mother. However, the brother would then sneer at mother for calling Haru to breakfast. Haru decided to call him out for disrespectfulness, so they all sat down at the table and finished their breakfast. After breakfast, Haru decided to play around the house today. He'd play hide and seek with his imaginary friends in the living room because he did not get to play outside. Haru would then play soldier using the pans and pots in the kitchen. Haru also played ship in the bathroom while he was bathing. When he was playing, he'd then hear shouting outside. Haru finished in the bathroom and put some clothes on. Only to see father yelling at mother for Haru's mess. Haru would then eavesdrop as he didn't want to get involved in their quarrel. After letting them compromise, Haru felt guilty for his mother taking the fall for his actions. Haru then decided to make a little surprise for her mother. He cooked her a pink ombre rhubarb mini cake.

Haru crept up the stairs, worried that his brother and father notice him bringing a gift for his mother, for they did not like him doing anything sweetly or kindly towards his mother. He'd check if the coast is clear before entering his mother's room with the cake; as he walks in without knocking. His mother would notice him then with the tray of cake on Haru's hands, from her surprise, she'd immediately stop what she was doing beforehand and sit down on the bed to hear what Haru has to say.
