{ 3rd P.O.V. }

"Sister Lily, please marry meeee!!!" Asta begged for the nun's hand in marriage. 

"No." Lily said with a smile. "Asta, um.. I don't think you can marry Sister Lily. She's basically a person who can't get married. Not just you.." Yuno softly said. "Yuno's right, you know?" Sister Lily giggled. 

Asta groaned loudly in frustration. "Anyway, there's something you all kids should know." Sister Lily says, as all the kids around here waited for what she wanted or needed to say.

"Did you all know that there's a thing called soulmates in this word?"

"Soulmates? What's that..?" Asked Recca. 

"A soulmate is someone who empathizes with you. It is someone who fully understands you. You both are one of the same mind, two people who are connected mutually." The nun gives a smile to the kids. 

"A fun thing about this whole soulmate thing is that your eyes glow when you're talking about your soulmate or maybe feeling some type of emotion for that person." She says, pointing at one of her eyes. "You yourself won't be aware of your eyes glowing. Isn't it interesting, everyone?"

"The glowing eyes thing.. Is it by the work of magic?" Yuno asked. "Actually, it isn't. The cause of your eyes glowing is because of your soulmate. It is up to you to find the one for you."

The kids woah-ed. "That's so cool! Hey, Yuno.. Have you seen my eyes glowing?" Asta said with absolute interest about the subject. "I don't think so. Have mine glowed?" Yuno asked the same question, as well. "I don't remember you eyes lighting up either!! Waahhh, finding your soulmate is hardd!" Asta groaned. 

"It is made to be hard for everyone, you know? Even if I'm a sister of the cloth, I still have a soulmate.." Sister Lily said, as she places her hand on her right cheek. 

"Oi, Yuno! Will you help me find my soulmate?" Asked the hyper Asta. 

Yuno gave a smile. "I will, Asta. But will you help me find mine too?"

"Of course! Buddies help each other out..!" 

Sister Lily watches the two boys' eyes glow. "I see.. A major difference these two have.. Maybe that's why..."

10 years later, the present

Asta stares at the ground, eyes slowly starting to get dull as despair fills him up inside. "My chains lets me know how much magic a person has. To think that you don't even an ounce of magic is just so friggin' ridiculous!" The chain user looks down on the poor mana-less boy.

"Maybe that's your purpose to exist. To be born a loser!" Says him as he continues to laugh at the boy.

'Then that means.. No matter how hard I try, I still won't be able to use magic?' These words circle through Asta's mind.

"Why won't you just give up, eh kid? You're no match for me!" The chain user continues to kick Asta's shoulder. 'He's right.. I should just give up. It's useless, anyway.. Maybe I should just-'

"Hey, you..! Who are you calling a loser? Asta. About you not becoming the Wizard King.. That's a fact." Yuno says, as he moves a bit, still tied to the enemy mage's chain magic.

" 'Cause I'm going to be the one who'll be the Wizard King. You got that, Asta? You are my rival!"

Yuno's eyes glowed. His gleaming auburn eyes gave Asta some hope. "Him? Your rival? Oh please. This little brat doesn't even have a lick of magic at all. Asta gets ahold of the chain user's leg.

"Yet.. Not yet.." The chain user steps away from the Asta in shock. "Sorry for looking so pathetic and helpless in front of you, Yuno." Asta stands up, kneeling down from his sitting position.

"Just gimme a sec, I'll kick this bastard's butt!"

Just so, a grimoire awakens. A not-so clean, shabby looking book. Asta looks at the grimoire, dumbfounded. The thought of him having a grimoire was beyond imagination.

The average clover consists of three leaves

Faith, Hope, and Love

With a 4-leaf clover resembles good luck

And within a 5-leaf clover..

Resides a demon. 

"A gri... moire? Asta says in shock. 'I knew it. There's no way he would've been chosen..!' Thought Yuno.

Asta's has always done the unimaginable. He has done it before.. And he still does, now. He always been like that.

That's what Yuno thought. He really liked it when Asta keeps standing up when he's down. He'd always be there for him to help him get back up again.

"Even if you're a peasant or an orphan, you can still protect the people that you care and love about. And I'm going to be the Wizard King to prove that fact!"

A huge sword appears out of the grimoire. 

"W-What is that grimoire? That enormous sword..! Just who the hell are you?!!" The chain user screams in shock. "Disappear, you little wretch with no magical powers!!" 

Chains were headed towards Asta's direction. The boy uses his sword to annul the chain user's magic. Making a "whoosh" sound.

"No.. No way.. He nullified my magic..?!!" 

"Even without magical powers... I'm going to become the Wizard King!"

"Not giving up.. is my magic!"

With veins forming in his skin, Asta suddenly starts heading to the man with chain magic with unimaginable speed, blasting the enemy off with his big sword. Causing the enemy user to slam into a concrete wall.

Asta pants. "Since I can't use magic... I had to maintain my body and exercise to keep up.. It was worth it all.."

"Oi, Asta.." Yuno calls.  Asta turns to see Yuno. "Look, Yuno! I got my own grimoire now! It is extremely shabby as hell but I'm gonna treasure it for the rest of my life!!" Asta says, admiring his new 5-leaf clover grimoire. 

"You saved me again, huh..? I guess I'll have to repay you someday..." Yuno says. 

"Hey, Asta.. Remember our promise?"

Asta's eyes widened. "You mean.. you remembered that? I honestly thought that you were gonna mock me for that."

"Just so you know, I have no intentions in being too friendly with my rival.. But, I have to thank you for giving me hope, Asta." He says, as he looks at the demon's skull from the distance. 

"Even your poor, even if your an orphan.."

"You can become greater than anyone in this world..!"

"And to prove that.."

Asta and Yuno proceeds to do a fist bump.

"Let's see who can be the Wizard King first!"

Yuno and Asta's eyes gleamed. Asta's emerald eyes and Yuno's glowing auburn orbs mixed well with each other.
